Merry Christmas

Blake woke up at 7am, but we didn't hear Dylan, so we tried to keep him quiet until Dylan woke up. About 7:30 Blake couldn't take it anymore, so we decided to go wake up Dylan. Well, we found him sitting on the couch right in front of the Christmas tree just looking at the tree and the presents.

Naturally Dylan went for the stocking first.

Blake checked out the stuff in his stocking, but didn't open any of the goodies...unlike Dylan who quickly consumed some candy.

A new batman game for Xbox.

A new dance game.

Blake calls these shirts "handsome" shirts...any shirt with a collar. He loves it...like a little bit too much. Great-Grandma got this for him and did a great job.

An article of faith game.

Robert and Sarah got Dylan his first real Lego set and it had Superman...so excited.

Grandma and Grandpa got the boys some new PJs...Blake got batman...love them.

Dylan got Spiderman...he loves them.

Blake was pretty excited to get his own pair of slippers.

So was Dylan. It gets cold here in the winter so slippers are helpful.

Robert and Sarah got Blake a batman lego set.

Grandma and Grandpa got Blake and Dylan this race car track. This is the first thing that we (Aaron) put together and played with. The next thing was their legos, then Aaron was able to break away and start on his present from my folks...the Salt Lake temple lego set.

Aaron got a new overcoat for work.

For Christmas dinner, we went over to our friends, the Carroll's, house and so did Cohen and Isaac. Dylan wouldn't eat dinner...weird right? So Aaron told him that if he didn't eat dinner then he could go sit in the car, which Dylan had no problem doing. Well, Aaron had to follow through with his threat, so Dylan stayed out in the car and took a nap while we ate dinner.

One last wrestling match. So sad to see these guys move to Minnesota.

Christmas Eve

Before the kids went to bed, we got ready for Santa. We got some cookies and water for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer.

Dylan was a little concerned because it was not snowing so he wasn't sure how Santa would be able to land his sleigh.

Early Christmas Present

As you may recall, our trampoline broke in July and we were waiting to see what deals we could get. Our friend was able to get us a great deal on a nice trampoline and to help save even more money, he helped set it up with his kids and with Aaron.  Our kids waited patiently inside to see their surprise. This was their expression once they saw it. They were excited...they missed their trampoline.

This trampoline has an enclosure, which I really like because I don't feel like I need to be out there with them. The trampoline also has technology so the kids can jump independently...they don't launch each other when they jump. It also has a basketball hoop, which Blake loves. We will see how many times that ball ends up in our neighbors yard.

Totally missed it, but then he didn't miss one.

Trampolines really are great to get energy out...especially when it is too cold to go swimming.

Blake Can Ride

A couple of days before Christmas, Aaron took off Blake's training wheels on his bike and he could ride it by himself...although Aaron ran along with him the first couple of times.

And he can get off his bike. It is fun to see them learn new things.

Arboretum

Aaron had the day off of work and Blake was out of school so we went to the Arboretum. It was a nice day...in the mid 60s.

They had a special presentation on caves, which included making a bat.

Blake wanted some help putting on a Bruce Wayne smile on the bat.
