Dylan's Soccer Party

Last Monday after school, we took Blake to the doctor for his 7 year check up. Height= 4' 3.5" (95 percentile) 55 pounds (70 percentile). He is a tall lean boy. Totally healthy and doing fine. We got the orders for Dylan while we were there.

The beginning of the week was so hot...it was in the low 90s, high 80s. I know this will feel mild in a couple of weeks, but I'm not used to it. But then we had some mild days too...with rain of course.

So Thursday we went to the library with some friends and then went to the park afterwards.

Later that night we had Dylan's soccer party. Aaron had been in Arkansas for a couple days, but was able to make it to the party.

Coach Jonathan giving Dylan his trophy. All the kids were so excited to get a trophy.

We had pizza, fruit and dessert. It was fun. The team was a lot to play with, but they are changing some of the rules next year for age of kids vs. school age, so we will see who we will play with next season.

Blake had a super wiggly tooth that night, so we took a picture.

Happy Mother's Day

Last Sunday was Mother's Day. The boys helped Aaron make breakfast by going upstairs and playing. Aaron didn't have any meetings so we got to open some gifts before church.

The boys sang "We'll Bring the World His Truth" in Sacrament. I was went to Sunday School, which hadn't happened in a long time and went to RS too. I have determined that my attention span is like a kids because these lessons are super long...I am used to the quick 15 minute lessons in Sharing Time.

Hope all the Moms had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Last Soccer Games for the Season

Saturday was make up day since we were rained out the previous weekend.

The team: Jaylan, Truett, Cole, Graham, Dylan, Oliver and Coach Jonathan.

Dylan was done with the season a couple weeks ago. I think it was a little long for him.

Blake has improved a lot over the season. He was so close to scoring 2 times in this last game. His coaches were so bummed he didn't score...they wanted it for him so badly and so did all the parents. We will be playing a tournament in a couple weeks, so hopefully he can score then.

This team is brutal. They are nasty. The coach is mean and the parents are not nice at all. Glad we have a team that is nice with nice parents.

They got their trophies.

Coach Jake giving Blake his trophy.

Dantes, AShton, Colton, Blake, Johnathan, Coach Jake, Rhett, Paxton, Parker, Aiden, and Kaeler.

Blake and Colton. Colton loves Blake. Colton is in his primary class and is such a good kid.

After the games, we went to Home Depot to do the Kids project. Then we went to pick up Aaron's car from getting the oil changed and they were having a BBQ. They also had some cool cars.

We also got to go to the donut store, thanks to Grandpa. They were tasty. Thank you Grandpa!

Heard Museum

Friday morning we went to the HOA park for a play date that the HOA put together. We saw Dylan's classmate Harper. They had bubbles, which was a big hit.

Then we went to the Heard Museum with Beckett, Cambria and Ledger.

So Beckett hadn't ever been on a hike so he didn't know what trail markers were, so we had them look for the trail markers to make sure we were on the right trail. This was classic...they found the trail marker, but were very confused because of the arrow. "Um, how do we go up?" Look at their heads.

After the hike, Ledger needed to go home and take a nap, so Beckett stayed with us so the boys could play more.

And dance. These boys have so much fun together.

Dylan the Dinosaur

Thursday we went visiting teaching, went to Costco, then came back and played. Dylan loves to dress up. How many times have we mentioned that? This was a costume my made for my brother when he little.

Aaron was in Florida that week and got back late Thursday night, so I took the boys to Round table. My new calling is the Cub Committee Chair.

Muffins With Mom

Last Wednesday I took Dylan to school. (Typically Cambria takes them and I bring them home) I got to go in his classroom with him for 30 minutes so I could have muffins with him. He decorated flowers for me.

Answered some questions and drew me a picture. By the way, "Her suit" is her shirt...poor kid has trouble with his R's so some words are hard for others to understand.

Grayson, Cameron, Dylan, Grayson, Harper, Sloane, Sophia, and Paxton. Jarrett wasn't there yet, but on my way out of school he was walking in and stopped me, "Um, are you Dylan's mom?"

Visit to the Fire Station

Last week we were doing some visiting teaching, when Cambria called. Beckett wanted to go to the fire station and wanted to see if we wanted to tag along. Dylan was excited. Beckett was afraid to sit in the fire truck and I didn't get many pictures, but Dylan loved it. He got to put on their headphones and talk with the fire fighters...it was pretty cool.

Then he sat in the ambulance.

Then they got a call and had to take off. It was actually kind of cool to be there for the call.

We went to the park to play. We ended up seeing Dylan's friend, Austin, who he used to have play dates with and go to preschool with.

After we picked up Blake from school, we went and played at Kelsey and Beckett's house for awhile. They were all Spider man.

When we got home and checked the mail, the boys found a card from Grandpa that had money in it for them to go get donuts. They were so excited.

Catching Up

I'm kind of behind on this blog. So much is going on. School is almost over and lots of changes and crazy weather making a lot of changes to plans.

The boys have been so anxious to go swimming. Dylan even cleaned the pool for us. But we have been getting crazy amounts of rain.

But we did get breaks from the rain too, so we enjoyed outside. Dylan had a ladybug land on him.

Dylan really wanted to play in sand, so we went to our HOA park. He was having a blast, and then his classmate, Sophia, came, so they played together.

The fields were to wet, so their last game of  the season was postponed to the following Saturday, which meant we were able to go help a new family move in. They had a 7 year old, who was the same height as Dylan.
