Happy Anniversary

October 4--We celebrated our anniversary. Aaron took the day off and I have Friday's off. We went to Oak Point to go on a hike. The weather was perfect. It had been so hot, but that morning was mild which meant that we could hike for a couple of hours instead of like 10 minutes.

It was a great place. A few years before we had come here to go ziplining with Go Ape and we wanted  to hike the area sometime. The park is huge and really pretty.

After the hike we went to a great taco place, we went to Torchy's. I had heard about this place when I was getting my teeth cleaned. It did not disappoint.

Blake's 2nd Place

Blake's coach did pick up his medal from the race and gave it to him at school. He was so proud! He worked hard, so I was so happy that he did well.

Pizookie

September 29--My parents have an outdoor oven that I thought was really cool. We tested it out when we were in CA and we wanted it for our emergency preparedness items. So we bought it and then had to test it out, so we made a pizookie. 

It is was delicious.

Later that day Dylan lost a tooth.

Crape Myrtle Race and Soccer

September 28--The school district puts on a race that goes along a trail that has a lot of Crape Myrtles. It is a pretty race.

Aaron and Dylan ran the 1 mile. Dylan got 9 minutes. Then they left to go to Dylan's soccer game.

Then Blake and I ran the 5k.

Blake got 29:17, which ended up being 2nd place, but we weren't sure what his final place was going to be and we needed to get to Dylan's game, so we told Blake's coach to get his medal if he earned one.

We made it to Dylan's game, but we didn't get to see much of it.

School Pictures

The boys had school pictures, so on the walk home I took a picture of them.

Soccer and a Concert

September 21--That morning Dylan had a soccer game. He has been playing mostly as a defender.

And as a goalie. He has done a really good job.

That night we went to a concert with these crazy people and some other friends.

It has been forever since either one of us had been to a concert.

We saw One Republic and the Fray opened for them. It was fun. There were 5 couples in our group. Thanks Curt for the tickets.

Beckett's Birthday

September 20-Beckett turned 7 and he had a pool party. While the boys were at the party, Aaron and I went to dinner.

National Hamburger Day

September 18--In honor of National Hamburger Day, we went to Smash Burger. It was yummy!

Jake's Birthday Party and Soccer Game

September 14-Dylan's friend, Jake had a baseball birthday party. It was really hot and baseball is not Dylan's thing, but he was happy to be with friends. There were a ton of kids, but Caleb, Dylan and Jake are all in the same class at school and really good buddies.

Before the party, Dylan had a soccer game. 

The next day at church was my last time teaching Gospel Doctrine because I got a new calling, which is the Relief Society Secretary. Now I have a lot of meetings.
