Sleepver with Cohen and Issac

Cohen and Isaac came over for the weekend while their parents went to Minnesota to look for a house.

We set up their beds and then we played the dance game.

It was so fun and cute to watch the boys dance. Isaac loved it. During the dancing he shouts out, "Cohen, you got this man." Issac just turned 11 and is autistic. He is a great kid and we love both of them. We are going to miss this family. The trip was a success because they found the perfect house...which was something that Blake prayed for the whole weekend.

So it seems like we get a lot of pictures of the kids with their school shirts on. Friday is their day to wear their school gear and apparently we play with them a lot on Fridays.

Saturday when they woke up Isaac immediately wanted to play the dance game.

Trampolines

Last Friday we went with Dylan's friend Beckett to the trampoline place. Dylan had so much fun.

He jumped for 2 hours, then we went home and ate lunch. On our way home from picking up Blake, Dylan fell asleep. He was worn out.

Lunch With Blake

Monday Blake had to go back to school, but we joined him for lunch. He was so happy to have Grandma and Grandpa there. Grandma and Grandpa also brought him a special lunch, which made it even more fun for Blake and Dylan.

After we visited Blake we went and visited some folks who just moved into our ward from our stake back in CA. They built their home and it is beautiful, but Dylan wasn't too happy because they didn't have toys.

This is kind of how he was at their house. To be friends with this kid give him food or a toy.

The next day Grandma and Grandpa left. We had so much fun with them and are grateful they were able to come. Thanks for playing with us!

Early Christmas

We had Grandma and Grandpa open their Christmas presents while they were here. Among other things, they got some pictures of the boys. I also got to open my birthday/Christmas present from them which was a new set of pots and pans. They are fabulous!

It was a beautiful day and Grandpa was feeling better, so we went on a walk and discovered a few leaves.

Strong Boys

Saturday when my folks were here Aaron and I took a trip to the temple while Grandma and Grandpa took the boys to Home Depot for a project. We played at home afterwards and then Grandpa started to not feel well, so went and ran some errands. The boys did some weight lifting while at the store.

Then we went to dinner while Grandpa was at home.

Christmas Has Begun

Friday morning we decorated our house and then that night we went downtown for the tree lighting ceremony.

Playground

Tuesday Grandpa watched the kids while Grandma and I went Christmas shopping, so the next day I took the boys to the playground while Grandma and Grandpa ran some errands.

Helping Grandpa

A trip to Texas from Grandpa wouldn't be complete without some projects. The boys helped Grandpa take down our broken  trampoline.

Happy Birthday Michelle and Arboretum

My parents came for a visit a couple of days before Thanksgiving. A week before Thanksgiving, Dylan smashed his teeth on our stairs. He was screaming for a long time (this isn't normal for Dylan) so we knew it wasn't just his normal bonk and he kept bleeding. Luckily we are friends with his dentist, so we called him and he happened to be home so we went over to his house. Two of his teeth were loose. He told us that he won't be biting down with his front teeth for several weeks because it will hurt and one tooth suffered a concussion. What? Really..a tooth? Okay, there was lots of trauma. HIs gums were really bruised for about a week. It was sad and gross, but I should've taken a picture because I had never seen really bruised gums before. The next day we went to his office for x-rays. His roots and jaw bone were fine so we just need to monitor him...and then come back in a month to see what has changed. We also got a prescription mouthwash because Dylan was not wanting his teeth brushed (don't blame him) but we didn't want infection. Well, my kid knocked his teeth 2 more times since then. They are still in, but we don't know for how long. His dentist is so nice and even called to see how he was doing. Dylan still won't bite totally on his front teeth, but he manages to eat still. For awhile, he was really miserable and super clingy.

As mentioned before, our friends Cohen and Isaac are moving the end of December, so Robyn asked us if we could watch the kids while they flew up to look for a house. As a thank you before we even watched them, she gave us a membership to the Arboretum. So since Blake had the whole week of Thanksgiving off, we went with Grandma and Grandpa on Monday.

The petting zoo was still there.

Blake even pet the animals.

The pumpkin patch was still up and the 12 days of Christmas display was up. It is about a mile walk long tour of all the displays.

Nice hair!

Then we went to the children's section so the kids could get out some energy.

And Grandpa needed to get out some energy too.

After the Arboretum we went to a mall where they have a large train display. Grandpa took the boys while my mom and I went shopping. After shopping we met Aaron at Lockhart's for my birthday dinner. It is a bbq place and very tasty! We all enjoyed it. It was a great birthday!
