Pics

Here is Blake when he was sick. Weird to see him with no energy.

We also had Dylan's friend, Lacie over last week.

Today we put this pumpkin together.

Fund Run

Last week Blake's school had a jog-a-thon, but they called it a fund run. Dylan and I volunteered to help hand out some water. Here is Blake's class.

This kid is a runner and just smoked the other kids. The poor kid was bright red and wouldn't stop running to get some water.

So I had Dylan give him some water.

Cohen did awesome too.

Here is his class after. So this is interesting, Blake is one of  the tallest kids in the class and he is buddies with the shortest kid in class. Blake is kneeling and the kid behind him and to the left is standing. He sure talks about Carson all the time and they like to play at recess together with Cohen and his buddy from his class.

After school, Cohen and Issac came out the door the same time Blake did, so they played around for a little bit. We found out the day before while playing with them that they will be moving. Blake doesn't know yet, but we are super sad. It is a great promotion for their dad and a great place for Isaac because it is a highly ranked place for kids with autism, but still, we will be sad for them to go. Their dad has to move out in January and they are seeing how long they can stay out here. As much as I would love it if they stayed, I know it is better for them to be with their dad. So, we will enjoy them as long as they are here.

Batman and Superman

After Sadie's party, our HOA had a Halloween party. These are not their Halloween costumes, but costumes that I found for a great price and figured they could play in them. However, they have played a lot in them, especially Dylan so they are already falling apart.

They had fun getting some candy and other fun goodies.

Sadie's Birthday Party

A couple Saturdays ago, we went to go see Meet the Mormons. Has anyone seen it? We enjoyed it, although the kids were kind of done with it after 45 minutes. Then we checked out some trampolines since ours is still broken and then we went to Sadie's birthday party, They used to live right around the corner from us, but moved about 5 minutes away, but we still see them all the time. She had her party at this gymnastics place, which Dylan was invited to too.

They had the kids run around while the music was on.

And when the music was off, they were to lay down with their heads down otherwise they were to get their heads stuffed in the toilet. Um...really? These kids are 5 and 6 and you are telling them this?

They jumped a lot.

Here is the birthday girl with her dad, Chad.

Aside from the crazy threats, the kids had fun.

Robert's Visit

Friday Blake woke up at 3:30 throwing up and didn't go back to sleep because he kept throwing up, so he didn't go to school that day. He wouldn't sit up and would just lay down while Dylan and I were playing. Poor kid...it was a rough day. Saturday he felt a little better so were able to run some errands that we didn't get to do on Friday. Then we went to the Primary program practice and then we went to a neighbors house for a party. The kids had fun carving pumpkins and then Dylan threw up over their floor, so after cleaning that up, we went home. I am sure we will be invited over there soon. Yicks! Then Sunday morning around 1am Aaron started throwing up and I was soon after. It was terrible. Our friends had  this big a couple weeks before and they told us how terrible it was..they weren't wrong. We couldn't stand up...and Dylan was sick too and Blake was better but still not eating anything. So, called the primary president and told them to skip Blake's part because he wouldn't be there then I emailed my YW lesson to the counselor to see if she could give the lesson. We survived Sunday but it was terrible.

Today we woke up and felt a lot better, but not back to normal at all. But I had to go to parent teacher conference for Blake at 8am so off I went. Blake is doing great in school. It is fun to see his progress. He reads books now and writes "stories"...really they are thoughts that come into his head, but he gets no help spelling things out...I would call it he sounds it out, but they call it stretching it out. He actually does pretty well. It makes me remember that English is tough with so many silent letters, etc. Anyway, we came home and played and then we went to get Robert at the airport. The kids were so excited to see him. When we got home, they just wanted to play with him. By the end of the day we were pretty much back to normal health. As my friend puts it, it is a gnarly and terrible 24 hour bug, then it takes another 24 hours to recover.

Dylan's Birthday

Dylan turns 3 tomorrow, but since my brother, Robert, was in town today we decided to celebrate today.

Dylan got some soccer goals, which also function as a tent apparently.

He also got Chase from Paw Patrol.

Grandma and Grandpa Bass sent him a couple Superman shirts. The only that he is wearing in the picture he wears every time it gets washed, so I appreciated the shirts and Dylan loves them. I know what he will be wearing tomorrow.

He also got a Superman character and others as well, but he was most excited about Superman and his dog. But he was excited to have friends for Superman to play with.

Grandma also sent a flying Superman, which was a huge hit.

His stash of goodies.

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson also sent some money for him to go pick out something fun. He is excited to go find something.

This kid changed his mind multiple times as to what he wanted for his dessert. He ended up with chocolate cake and chocolate frosting with chocolate ice cream.

Dylan sure has lots of people who love him and he was super excited about his new toys and new toys that he gets to pick out. Thank you!

Ward Activity

After the pumpkin patch, we came home to make some food and then we took off for our ward chili cook off activity.

The YW were in charge of the games, so we spent the Wednesday before getting them all ready. It was a success because the kids loved them.

Our friends played too...Kelsey and Beckett with their mom, Cambria.

Pumpkin Patch

After the Heard, we came home to eat some lunch and then left for the pumpkin patch. We ended up going to the same one that my mom did with us last year when we went with Blake's preschool.

Dylan loved feeding the animals.

Blake did not like feeding the animals. This was as close as he would get.

The hay ride was a hit.

But the maze was a really big hit.
