While I was at the baptism Saturday night, the boys got ready for Mother's Day. They wrapped the presents and then talked about the plan for Mother's Day. Blake was really excited for the plan so he woke up at 6 to get breakfast started. The boys made blueberry scones. While they were making the scones, the tornado siren went off. We didn't get a tornado though, but a ton of rain. They have now had to open our flood gates on our lakes and reservoirs because our levels are so high. This is a dramatic difference from a couple months ago. At church our bishopric said they thought it was safe to stop praying for rain. It is great news for our lakes, but it has totally saturated our ground, which isn't great because we have clay here. It also has destroyed some crops because there has been too much rain. But the bummer for us (other then the destroyed fence and roof) is we haven't been able to go swimming. We can't go swimming in lightning and thunderstorms :(
After we ate breakfast, I opened some presents. Ward Council was canceled so we had extra time to hang out inside. As a side note our Bishop is moving so he is trying to wrap things up/check out of things. It has been kind of nice because they have been on top of calling people into Primary to fill my spots. We'll see how much a new Bishopric will impact our Primary. At church, the primary kids sang and did a great job. Both Blake and Dylan participated. One of the youth speakers had interviewed some kids for her talk. The boys said that I was nice, they love me and I cook good food. In Sharing Time it was obvious that everyone had serious cabin fever, but we plugged through. That night the boys made hamburgers for dinner. We got to talk with both Grandmas for Mother's Day. We hope all Moms had a wonderful day and you were spoiled!!
