Aaron took Thanksgiving Break off of work. The kids were off school too, so it meant we could have lots of fun. Our passes were expiring to the Arboretum, so we went one last time. I had taken the boys on Columbus Day, which they had off of school. The pumpkins were out and it was hot. It was the last day that we went swimming (Oct. 13) and then 2 days before this (Nov. 21) we had our first freeze of the season. So...we had more of a fall this year then last year.
They had the 12 days of Christmas on display, which was fun to walk around and see.
They now always "have to" take a silly picture.
It looks like the like each other. ;)
Again with the silly picture.
They still had some of their pumpkins. They were mostly dead, but Aaron at least was able to experience it too.
The Arboretum is right on a lake. I thought this was pretty...pretty for fall.
The boys did a science experiment. Is corn starch a liquid or a solid?
So they mixed water and corn starch together and then put their hands in to feel what it was like. Well, Blake put his hand in, but Dylan didn't want to get his hands messy?! That's not like Dylan, but okay.
It is super cool. For those who have never done this before, google it and then do it. They had added food coloring to it, but you don't have to do that. Blake loved it.
Back outside. Not as cold that day...like in the 60s this day and then the sun made it feel nice.
We had a great time. Don't know when we will be back.
