Friday, January 6 we had plans to go with Grandma and Grandpa to Great Wolf Lodge. It is about an hour from our house. It was 22 degrees when I went running in the morning, but with wind chill it was 5. We are in Texas folks so that's cold for me. I picked up Blake from school at 12 and it was starting to snow. We got in the hotel...saw the snow from the room. We didn't play in the snow because we had too much fun playing in the water.
We also checked out the exercise room.
Then we went to a dance party that they had before bedtime.
The next day we played. We had so much fun, but we didn't like the crazy amounts of chlorine. Our lungs couldn't take it so by 3 we were done.
Blake went down the craziest slide of all, which was scary for adults. When he got to the crazy, dark part he said, "Now I have to face my fears". Dylan didn't do that one, but he did all the others and really liked them. They had a lazy river, wave pool, a huge splash pad, basketball in the water, etc....lots to do. We did have to take breaks because we used lots of energy.
We were worn out by about 3 on Saturday and headed home. Dylan closed his eyes on the way home. He will not admit to taking a nap.
We loved going and were so glad Grandma and Grandpa were there. We had so much fun!
