Halloween

Who guessed it? Blake was Superman for Halloween. This is his Superman pose.
So here is the rest of the story...We had narrowed down the choices to a gorilla or Superman for Blake's costume. While we were driving to the costume store, we asked Blake what he wanted to be, he gave us his Superman pose and we had our answer. The funny thing is that we have no idea where he got this Superman pose from. Everytime we ask him what Superman does, he strikes this pose. Very funny.
We went to my parents' wards Trunk-o-Treat along with Blake's cousin, Seth. Who is the other kid in the picture? Just some kid who was excited to get his picture taken.
We played some games. This was Blake's favorite.
Blake wasn't too sure about this gun, but he liked the prize.

By the time we went to get some candy, it was Blake's bed time, which meant that his legs were all of a sudden broken and couldn't walk. Good thing mom and dad have good legs!

18 Months Old

Blake is now 18 months old, which meant a trip to the doctor's office for a check-up. Blake is tall...in fact, he is off the charts for his age. We also learned that he has an ear infection. Awesome. Did we know about this? Nope. Maybe that is why Blake has been shoving his finger in our ears. Aside from his ears, he is doing great. He is talking a lot..for a rugrat. His favorite phrase is "what's that?" This is almost as fun as the "why?" phase.
The new fun thing that he is doing is saying prayers. He will fold his arms and mumble something and then say Amen...or all done. We can't put his food in front of him before we say a prayer, otherwise, he will start eating before we say a prayer. He also will fold his arms anytime he is hungry or sitting at any table.
His latest obsession is coloring. Thankfully he has just stuck to coloring on paper.
This weekend we went shopping for a Halloween costume. Aaron and I thought a gorilla would be a lot of fun, but weren't so sure how he would do with a costume that required something on his head because he hates hats, so we asked him what he wanted to be. Guess what? He responded...but we'll let you know on Halloween what he came up with.

One of the great things about turning 18 months is Blake is now officially in nursery at church.
Doesn't he looked excited about church?

Children's Museum

While in LA, we went to a Children's museum. Blake had a lot of fun! Here he is flying a plane. He doesn't need to look at where he is going.

One of the things that Blake liked the most was to play with the other kids, since they were all about his age.

He really wanted this pretend food to be real food.

After driving the ambulance, he decided to be the passenger.

He went kind of crazy in the jump room which was perfect for letting some energy out.

LA Zoo

We were up in LA last week, so Blake and I went to the LA Zoo.

We stopped to see the seal and he was clapping because that's what seals do.

Blake's current favorite animal, the gorilla, was at the zoo. One of the gorillas came right next to him by the glass and he was so excited.

This one was looking for some food...kind of what Blake does.

There was a little play area at the zoo with a fake gorilla that someone had to go visit (and try to climb on).

Visitors

Aaron's sister, Tiffanie, and her husband, Kent, visited us for a couple of days earlier this month.

Kent couldn't come to CA without going to the beach.

We went to a beach that had a little playground. Blake couldn't look at the camera for a picture because he had to keep on an eye on the other kids at the park.
It was fun to see Tiffanie and Kent. Thanks for coming!

Helping Dad

We recently bought a new computer so Aaron had to pull out some parts of the old computer and Blake just had to supervise.

New Tricks

It's been a few weeks since our last post, so here are a few new tricks for your viewing pleasure. We hope you like them. My favorite is the gorilla, but I think Blake's is the owl.

What do you think? What's your favorite?
