Fun with Cousins

Saturday morning the kids played outside...and then they played x box.

Then we all went to Dylan's soccer game. Blake didn't have a game that day. We were waiting to play and then I saw Varik...he was a classmate from preschool and he was on the team that Dylan played.

This is Varik.

They lost.

Here are Blake and Keely. They are about 6 months apart in age.

And the rest of the gang..Meesa, Trevor, Avry and Carter.

After the game, we came home and ate, then swam and jumped on the trampoline.

We invited the Stott's over again since Amy and Trevor are also cousins. Here is baby Rylie.

We watched a movie that night. We went to church in the morning, then they left to finish their drive to Colorado. We sure loved having them here. Trevor had never met Dylan, so it had been a long time since we saw them. (Aside from Aaron who just saw them a month earlier). We had a lot of fun hanging out with them. My kids love their cousins and were sad that they had to leave. We are excited for their new adventures. (Trevor just finished his residency to be an oral surgeon...or I think he called it some facial surgeon of sorts. They were on their move from school to Colorado so he can start his career...again.) Thanks for stopping by to play with us.

Visitors

Aaron was in Japan for a little over 2 weeks. The plan was his folks and his brother, Trevor and family would arrive at our house Friday night. Then Aaron's flight would get in Saturday morning. I found out Thursday that his folks were going to fly out early Saturday morning so Aaron would miss them.

Friday morning I was out mowing the lawn when who pulls up? Aaron. A week earlier they had found out that they had to wrap up their project a day early, so Aaron decided to change his airline ticket for a day earlier. Worked out great because he was able to see his parents before they left.

It was a 13 hour flight and it is a 14 hour time difference, so he was a little out of whack for a couple of days. He did bring back some goodies.

And we got to give him his Father's day gifts.

He also got some home depot made trophies, a swim shirt and some exercise stuff.

The rest of the gang got to our house around 6:30. We talked with his parents for a little bit, but they went to bed, so we stayed up really late and talked with Trevor and Meesa.

More Fun

Thursday morning I had a doctor appointment. None of my friends were available to watch my kids, so we got our babysitter. The boys had a blast with her. I had a biopsy done, but it luckily didn't require surgery this time. I got the results today and it is normal, so we should be done with biopsies for a little bit.

After lunch we had Madison and Landon over. Their mom is Amy, who is Aaron's cousin. She had a baby 3 weeks ago, but has had family in town to help out, so I had them over to give their mom a break. The kids get along so well. We swam and played.

Madison would throw the ball as Blake jumped in to catch it.

We had snacks.

Is this not cute?

We got to meet Rylie, their little sister.

Swimming Problems

Tuesday when we went swimming, Dylan slipped off the ladder to our slide. Luckily a couple days before we had gone to the store to get more waterproof bandaids and some Transformers bandaids. I never get "fun" bandaids, but I did this time and it worked miracles. He sliced his hand, but that's it. He wears a swim shirt, which got scratched from the bushes right next to our slide, but that's better then scratching Dylan. He also fell into the bushes rather then the cement below. It was pretty crazy to see it happen. He was definitely being watched over because it should've been a lot worse.

Wednesday morning we had Reese over to swim. He came over for a couple of hours and then a week later my boys will go over there for a play date.

Library Program

Last Monday we went to the movies to see Finding Dory. It was $3.50 per person, which is something I like. Anyway, a cute movie.

Tuesday we went to the library for the summer program. You now have to get tickets online, but we did get tickets. It was a same group that did it last year. We saw 4 different owls and 1 hawk. It was still really cool.

We saw some friends there so we sat next to them. I love our library programs.

Happy Father's Day

No picture since we don't have a dad here with us to celebrate with. We want to wish all the dads out there a very happy Father's Day!

The boys were sad that their dad wasn't here, but they made sure to grab a treat at church for him!

Dylan's Game

Saturday was Dylan's game. They won, but there are just too many kids on the field. When you don't play positions (which you can't really at this age) this is what happens...bunching.

But Dylan scored. This is right after he scored...he was looking over at Blake and me. He was so happy. He even did a little victory dance.

Then after the game we went to the store to get some waterproof bandaids and some other things. We ran into our friends, the Quarves. Anyway, when we got in the car...I saw this. So we went home and swam for awhile.

Shoes and Soccer

Friday morning I mowed the lawn right after breakfast (still super hot), then we went to the store to get some new shoes for the boys. On our way there, we finally were able to talk to Aaron. He is 14 hours ahead of us so it makes it tough. The boys were so excited to talk with him. We went to the outlets and found some great sales and they each found shoes they loved. Perfect. Then I had to go back to the scout store because one of our den leaders didn't tell me about an award that the boy moving earned. I had to get it to him before he moved. She is fired. On our way home we stopped at their house and said good bye to them...again and gave him is award since he won't be at our next pack meeting.

We went home and ate and swam and played and then ate dinner.

Then Blake had a game at 7:15. It was late. The boys did great. So many kids were gone, so we just had one extra guy. Blake did great playing his position as a defender and then as midfielder, but not so great at forward...he hung back as a midfielder. Seems like midfielder is what he likes. And why not...some offense and some defense. They won 10-0. Dylan about feel asleep at the game...I had to carry him to the car. But they actually slept in the next morning. That rarely happens.
