New Years Eve

Saturday morning we went to church and met the teachers the boys will have for 2017. Blake's teacher is Melody Talbot, who happens to be Colton's mom...Colton is Blake's friend. He is super excited. Dylan has the same teacher as last year and then the co-teacher will be Shellie Richards, who I visit teach. So, we know all their teachers really well.

Later that day the boys watched them feed the fish at Cabella's.

Grandma and Grandpa were supposed to come over and watch Sully with us once the kids went to bed, but an airplane crashed right by their apartment so the roads were blocked and they couldn't make it. They ended up coming over a couple days later to watch it.

Sunday church started at 11. Grandma and Grandpa spoke. After church we went on a walk because the weather was nice.

Monday we had off. We did some shopping in the morning and then in the afternoon, I ran while Blake rode his bike. He loved it and had so much fun.

Helping Grandpa

Grandpa thought the cabinets in the garage weren't secure enough, so he came over and put the saw to use again. The boys "helped" him.

That night we went to a new restaurant because we had a deal from Groupon. It was Cajun food.  It was good food, but it was a lot of food. We had leftovers the next day.

Urban Air

Another experience the boys got was for Urban Air. They had been the week prior for their friend's birthday party and loved it. We picked the boys and Grandma and Grandpa up and headed over there on Thursday morning. After we went to Costco for lunch.

Ninja Warriors

For Christmas they boys got some experiences. They got to go to Ninja Warriors, which is super fun and get so much energy out. This one was farther away from the one we usually go to, but we tried it out. They liked it, but we like the one by our house better.

They spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's for the last time. Aaron and I went to dinner and then saw Rogue One.

Heard Museum

Tuesday we went to the Heard. It was a perfect day for a hike. We saw the dinos, then went on the long hike.

We ate lunch.

And then played inside the museum and then headed home.

Day After Christmas

The day after Christmas, Grandpa came over to work on some molding with Aaron while Grandma and I went shopping. Aaron got a new saw for Christmas, so he needed to test it out.

It was such a pretty day, so after lunch we went and played Pickleball. Grandma and Grandpa play this a lot and we wanted to learn how.

Then we played basketball with the new basketball that Grandpa got for Blake. That didn't last too long because the hoop was pretty high. Then Blake showed us how to play GaGa ball.

That day Blake's present from my brother David came....some legos. Score!

Christmas

The boys didn't wake up until 6:50 on Christmas, which was crazy because they normally wake up around 6:15.

They got some books in their stockings.

Blake wrote Aaron and I a song, using his music sheets from piano. It was really cute.

This is Dylan's happy dance. We got to see this several times while opening presents. Grandma said that was her favorite part and she really misses that.

The boys picked out presents for Grandma. Blake got her a picture frame and a citrus juicer. Dylan got her a pin cushion for sewing. I think they did a good job. They picked out some drill bits for Grandpa to complete his set.

Grandma and Grandpa got the boys this super cool Imaginext set. Grandpa went to Target and stood in line early in the morning to get this. He and I both tried to buy it before and had issues. My dad hates shopping, so this is very impressive. I think once he saw the boys' reaction he thought it was worth it.

This was cute...Dylan opening his gift from Blake. Little minecraft blind bags. He loved them!

Dylan got Blake Man Bat.

They got Minecraft. They have been wanting this for a long time.

Aaron's sister sent the boys a magic set, which was a big hit.

They boys/family got a basketball arcade game. It is huge, so at least it folds up, but it is so much fun. The guys put it together after church. We had church at 9 and Grandpa and Grandma were the narrators, so we had to get there on time.

You can see the wall paint and valance...kind of. We are still figuring out the room. We will inherit a coach from my folks next week when they move so we need to figure out the arrangement once that comes.

We had ham, rolls, salad, green beans, and mashed potatoes. Grandma made her yummy lemon meringue pie.

We had a chance to talk with Aaron's folks who are in Argentina. It was fun to spend it with family and glad Grandma and Grandpa were here for it. The boys sure love their grandparents. Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!
