Thanksgiving Week - Day 5

Friday we put up our Christmas decorations. It took forever, but it is done.

We did a little bit of Black Friday shopping, but later in the afternoon and didn't deal with any lines or craziness.

That night the boys spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Aaron and I went to dinner and...

did another escape room. This was our 4th escape room. We were put in a group with these guys. We did escape with 16 minutes to spare. It was a really cool one and we liked our group.

Saturday morning, Aaron and I went to the temple. I saw a sister from our ward in the dressing room. Her son was receiving his endowment during the session we were planning on attending, so we saw several folks from our ward in our session. That was fun. After the session we went and got the boys. They had gone to Home Depot with Grandma and Grandpa for a project that morning and did some shopping. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

The boys weren't very excited to back to school. Only 3 weeks and it will be Christmas Break...yicks!

Thanksgiving Week Day 4- My Birthday and Thanksgiving

Thursday was Thanksgiving....Happy Thanksgiving! It was also my birthday.

Isn't this turkey cool? We saw it at the library.

The morning was pretty chilly, but we still went to the annual Turkey Bowl. The boys and I played soccer and some football. Next year we will recruit younger kids for a soccer game.

We watched some of Aaron's game.

Then we came home and my folks came over and we started to get dinner ready. The boys put together a project.

And then we ate our turkey dinner. After dinner we went over to the Brock's house (from our ward) for pie. There were about 10 pies...my mom made 3, but we ate the lemon meringue pie before we went to their house, so we brought the other 2 pies.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Week Day 3

On Wednesday we went and saw the movie Moana. It was a fun movie. We came home, at lunch, and then the boys went over to a friend's house while my mom came over to make pies.

My friend Cambria dropped off these yummy bunt cakes for my birthday. We all enjoyed them.

Thanksgiving Week Day 2

Since my birthday was on Thanksgiving this year, we celebrated my birthday on Tuesday. We opened some presents.

This is the necklace that my dad made me. He took a glass blowing class and made this there. It is really cool and very impressive.

My parents also gave me a pastry cutter/scrapper, new griddle, cactus, and new curtains.

Aaron and the kids got me salt and pepper shaker, an exercise mat---so I won't ruin the carpet while doing workout videos, and a dress.

We had lunch, then went to the Gaylord Texan for Ice. A lot of people had mentioned how cool it is, but every year we decide not to go because it is pricey. This year I found a 50% off coupon, so we did it for my birthday. It is very impressive. They have a room that is like 5,000 square feet that has several different rooms with ice sculptures. They keep the place at 9 degrees in order to keep the ice ice. They give you parkas. It was tough because it was not 9 degrees outside so waiting to get inside we were sweating.

Almost everything is ice...everything except the chain is ice in this picture.

Only eyes and mouths are not ice.

The very end has a huge slide, which we went down several times.

The last piece is the nativity scene. Texas is awesome...we can have this. I'm sure so many other states wouldn't let this sly in their states.

These are huge.

The angel is probably 12 feet tall.

Then we looked at the train set that went through the hotel.

The boys took a quick rest.

Then we went to Babe's for dinner. So yummy.

Thanksgiving Week--Day 1

The kids didn't have school this week and Aaron took the week off, so we had lots of time to play.

Monday we went to the park in the morning. In the afternoon, we went bowling. We had a lot of fun.

Blake busted out some nice dance moves.

Dylan + Food = Happiness

After bowling, we went and ate at In n Out, which was very tasty.
