First Day of Summer

Friday was out first day of summer! Dylan and I went running, then we went grocery shopping. Afterwards the boys said, "That was long!" Yep, welcome to my world.

We got home and found a package from my parents. They sent some cars, which they loved.

Then they sent them some clothes for the cruise. The boys think a Hawaiian shirt is a requirement for a cruise, but they have grown since our last cruise. Grandma and Grandpa came to the rescue though. They sent some other really cool clothes that they were super excited about. Thanks guys. We are excited for the trip!

A couple hours after lunch Aaron texted (since he was in Denver) and said that Adam and Becki were driving to Becki's brother's house as a last minute trip and wanted to stop by our house for a couple of hours...they would arrive at 7pm....but Aaron wouldn't get in that night until 10:30. We were super excited to have them stop by. My kids love, love their cousins and I love, love to visit with Adam and Becki. Trust me, they are fun people. The kids jumped on the trampoline, swam and had smores.

They were going to stay in a hotel, but I convinced them to just spend the night. This way Aaron could see them too. It was a late night, but so much fun.

They had to leave after breakfast. Thank you guys so much for stopping by! Feel free to come by anytime because we love it!!

We went to Home Depot for a project. Later that day we had 3 families over for a BBQ and swimming. We had the Neumann's, Schwarz, and Webber families. We love them all. Cambria is having a boy, which everyone is excited about except for Kelsey...I told her she will be like me...having 3 brothers.

Last Day of School

May 30 was  their last day of school! Blake was a little sad and Dylan was not sad at all. haha. It was also my last day of work for the school year....until August. I am ready for summer!! The boys brought home their final report cards and they both got really great grades and their teachers had great things to say about both of them. They are on to 2nd grade and 5th grade!!

After school I took Dylan over to Caleb's house for a play date. Caleb is such a sweet friend and his parents are super nice.

Tuesday morning Aaron flew out to Denver for work. During the week he was able to see his brother, Trevor and his family..Meesa, Carter, Avry, Keeley and he saw his parents. His parents just bought a new house and moved in on Monday, so he was able to see the new house. It looks beautiful!

Tuesday after school, Blake had his well check. He is doing fine..tall kid.

Memorial Day

Aaron and I were asked to help out with our ward Memorial Day Breakfast. There were 4 couples who helped out. We decided to move the venue to a park closer to where we live and to do breakfast burritos instead of the typical pancakes. I also had the brilliant idea of having a nerf gun challenge for the kids.....the kids really liked it. I thought some dads would join in, but the dads just wanted to visit with their buddies.

We had a really good turn out, the food was yummy,  and people really enjoyed themselves.

Done, done and done. (What can I say, May is so busy!)

Then we came home and went swimming and had a BBQ. We grilled some cow...Dylan was so happy. Then we had our last week of school.

Field Day

Friday, May 24 the boys had their field day at school. Since it was on a Friday I was able to help out and then to also walk around with their classes for a little bit. Dylan was in the morning and Blake was in the afternoon, so it was a long day, but it was fun.

This is basketball knockout, which is the station that I worked.

Then we had a break and I talked with some friends, then it was back to basketball knockout and Blake's class came by. Both the boys did a really good job at the game.

Then I watched Blake on some of the other stations.

The next day we had our ministering families over for dinner and swimming. We had a great time!

Golden Ticket

Blake received a golden ticket from his teachers. He was pretty happy. His reward was to eat donuts with the principal. Way to go Blake!

Camping and a Wedding

A couple Fridays ago, the boys were supposed to have a Father's Son's campout and I had a wedding reception to attend. About 1 hour before the boys were going to leave for the campout, we get an email saying that they canceled the event because of the weather forecast. Just for the record, it didn't rain until the next morning at 11am, so everyone would've been home by then. So, Aaron and the boys camped in the backyard instead.

And then I went to the wedding reception for Natalie Brock. The Brock's are a family in a ward and every year we always go to their house for Thanksgiving pie. It is a great tradition.

The day before was the last day of preschool. I worked for the following 2 weeks at the summer camps, but there was no planning involved with camps (for me at least...the camp director gets everything ready, it is wonderful).
