7-11

Did you get your free slurpee on 7-11? We did. It made us happy.

Then we went to the library for lego storytime. They read one story and then let your play with lots of their legos.

Fishing

The week after the 4th was busy. We've had a lot of families move into the ward, which is great, but one of my counselors just had a baby and my other counselor has been on vacation a lot and will be out all of August, so I have been busy with church stuff. We took Dylan to see a surgeon about his wrists. The doctor was fairly certain that he has cysts, but wanted to confirm that it wasn't something else, which would be more serious, so we ordered an ultrasound. Well, we are buddies with our ultrasound technician since we go so often, so we got right in after seeing the surgeon. The surgeon is on vacation so we are waiting for the results. Something interesting though was it has been raining about once a week in the beginning of July, then a couple weeks into July it stopped and was in the high 90s.

We had Austin and Aithen over. We went to the park and  then went on an adventure. We stopped at the pond where the boys decided to fish. Aithen found some leftover fishing line and some bait, so off they went to fish.

It lasted longer then anticipated.

4th of July

We went to the Home Depot on the 4th of July for the kids' project. We also picked up some paint for some small projects that I was working on. We came home and painted some and spent a lot of the day swimming. We then did some poppers since the fireworks don't start until 10pm and that is just too late for the kids.

The kids love doing these.

Even when they get duds.

Hope everyone had a fun 4th!

Downtown Dallas

Early Tuesday morning we had another storm...crazy wind and rain. Nothing else happened to our house, but our neighbor lost another part of his fence.

We went to the Perot Museum.

The boys raced a TRex.

Then Dylan wanted me to race a cheetah with him.

He was ready to go.

They played awhile, then Aaron walked over from his office to eat lunch with us. Then we walked with Aaron back to his office so the boys could see his office.

Wow...they were excited. I was excited to be in a nice air conditioned building. Anyway, they have been wanting to see where Aaron works for a long time and things worked out. I will say, we walked into his office and it was totally quiet. Quieter then the library...it was a new world for me.

We came home and went swimming and then had a drumstick. Grandma and Grandpa sent some money for the boys to buy some...to help keep them cool during the summer. Thanks for the treat!
