Crazy Driver

Yesterday afternoon as we were walking home from school we saw our friends Beckett and Kelsey outside playing, so we stopped and played outside with them. Dylan hasn't been feeling awesome lately so he was taking a nap in the stroller while the rest played and Cambria and I talked about what preschool to put our kids in.

Blake loved this car that they got for Christmas. Apparently Beckett thought Blake was kind of a crazy driver. We came home and jumped on the tramp...it was great to have nice weather. While Blake was in school we jumped and rode scooters and played outside.

Nice Weather

Monday Blake didn't have school and Aaron didn't have work, so we took advantage of the nice weather. The previous week it was in the 20s-30s...it was cold. Saturday-Wednesday it was in the high 60s and sunny. It was such a nice change. So Monday we jumped on the tramp and Blake rode his bike. And Dylan was on his scooter.

More Birthday Parties

Last Friday night, Blake went to his classmate Rhett's birthday party. His birthday party was at his house with a Star Wars theme. His mom went all out, but I didn't get any pictures. Earlier in the week my friend watched Dylan so that I could go help out in Blake's class. It was fun to be there and to meet all his classmates. They are fun kids and he has such a great teacher. So at the birthday party I got to see almost all of them again...oh, and I talked with some of the parents too...I don't really know if that is exciting though. However we did learn that one of his classmates lives around the corner from us.

Saturday morning we drove to a trampoline place for Ryan's birthday party. Ryan went against the norm and got a TMNT cake. She isn't super girly.

Vivienne and Cooper are good friends with Blake.

He loved playing with Luke and Musa. Musa and Blake have the same birthday.

They had fun. Monday I got an email from Rhett's mom saying that a kid from the party tested positive for the flu the next day and some of  the kids from the party got sick. The class had a handful of kids out sick on Tuesday, but thankfully Blake wasn't one of them.

Happy Birthday Aaron

Last week we celebrated Aaron's birthday. Before school, we opened presents and then Blake went off to school and Aaron went to work. For dinner we went to a restaurant and then came home for an ice cream birthday cake...it was tasty.

Aaron is wearing the shirt that Blake picked out for Aaron's present. He wanted one that matched his "handsome" shirt. Happy Birthday Aaron!

It's Cold Outside

Tuesday afternoon was nice...the high was 59 degrees. We took advantage of it and went outside and jumped on the trampoline. Blake is getting pretty good at making baskets. He told me, "I'm dangerous" after making a couple baskets in a row.

Then this morning when I took Blake to school, my car said it was a might 18 degrees. For those who have been to our city know that we have serious wind, so mix cold weather with North Texas wind and you get cold and not fun weather. We won't be jumping on the trampoline today. It also won't be above the school's magical temperature of 25 degrees, so Blake won't be going outside for recess. However, I saw how cold it is in other parts of the country...it could be a lot worse.

Last Day of Winter Break

The kids don't go back to school until tomorrow, Tuesday. Weird right? Aaron left yesterday morning for Florida for work and this morning we woke up to 20 degree weather. So, we can only be outside for so long. Our break has been really cold so I am glad we took advantage of the 2 nice days that we had.

But we also can't be indoor for too long either, so we bundled up and went to jump on the tramp. The boys love the tramp.

They like to play crack the egg. It is crazy how flexible kids are! Look at Dylan...that's just not right.

Dylan's hair is always impressive with the static. Tomorrow it is back to school for Blake. The boys had a lot of fun playing together and with all our visitors.

Goodbye Watts Family

As Adam and Becki were getting ready for their drive back to Houston, Cohen and Isaac came over so that their mom and dad could finish packing and cleaning the house.  They jumped on the trampoline for about 3 hours while Aaron and I took down our Christmas decorations.

Here is Robyn.

Here is the gang one last time.

And best friends Cohen and Blake. They left the next day. Good luck in Minnesota...stay warm (yicks!).

Boy Toys

Mia and Zoey didn't care that we didn't have any girl toys.

So much fun...cousins playing together.

Zoey and Mia Visit

The day after Christmas, we got a babysitter and Aaron and I went to see a movie and went to dinner. Saturday morning, some friends who have been taking the missionary discussions were baptized so we went to the baptism. A little bit after the baptism, Aaron's brother Adam and his family came for a visit. They live outside of Chicago and flew into Houston to spend some time with Becki's family. They drove 4 hours from Houston to visit with us for a couple of days. The kids played and the adults chatted....and watched movies while the kids slept.

Mia...

....and Zoey. We had so much fun with them. It is fun to have cousins come play. They went to church with us, which was fun because our kids are the same ages so they each had a friend with them in their class. Thanks for coming guys! We hope you had as much fun as we did.

Downtown for Christmas

When my parents were out here for Thanksgiving, we went to the tree lighting ceremony downtown. These pictures are all from my mom. (Thanks for letting me steal your pictures.)

Merry Christmas

Blake woke up at 7am, but we didn't hear Dylan, so we tried to keep him quiet until Dylan woke up. About 7:30 Blake couldn't take it anymore, so we decided to go wake up Dylan. Well, we found him sitting on the couch right in front of the Christmas tree just looking at the tree and the presents.

Naturally Dylan went for the stocking first.

Blake checked out the stuff in his stocking, but didn't open any of the goodies...unlike Dylan who quickly consumed some candy.

A new batman game for Xbox.

A new dance game.

Blake calls these shirts "handsome" shirts...any shirt with a collar. He loves it...like a little bit too much. Great-Grandma got this for him and did a great job.

An article of faith game.

Robert and Sarah got Dylan his first real Lego set and it had Superman...so excited.

Grandma and Grandpa got the boys some new PJs...Blake got batman...love them.

Dylan got Spiderman...he loves them.

Blake was pretty excited to get his own pair of slippers.

So was Dylan. It gets cold here in the winter so slippers are helpful.

Robert and Sarah got Blake a batman lego set.

Grandma and Grandpa got Blake and Dylan this race car track. This is the first thing that we (Aaron) put together and played with. The next thing was their legos, then Aaron was able to break away and start on his present from my folks...the Salt Lake temple lego set.

Aaron got a new overcoat for work.

For Christmas dinner, we went over to our friends, the Carroll's, house and so did Cohen and Isaac. Dylan wouldn't eat dinner...weird right? So Aaron told him that if he didn't eat dinner then he could go sit in the car, which Dylan had no problem doing. Well, Aaron had to follow through with his threat, so Dylan stayed out in the car and took a nap while we ate dinner.

One last wrestling match. So sad to see these guys move to Minnesota.
