In Person School

September 3-This was a glorious day because the kids went back to school. Dylan starts school at 8 and is done at 3:07 and  Blake takes the bus to and from school. School starts at 8:45 and is done at 3:52. He doesn't get home until 4:20. Blake wears a mask all day and lunch has assigned seating, which meant that they had 3 days to find their friends and sit at that same table, after those 3 days that is where they remain. There are 2 lunches per grade. For choir, he has to wear a mask and a face shield---a bit much huh?

Dylan is under age 10 so he isn't required, so guess what??? He doesn't wear it at school. He goes to his GT school one day a week. So he is required to wear a mask on the bus to and from the school and while at the school, but he is totally fine with it because his GT day is his favorite. His best buddy Jacob is part of GT, so they ride the bus together and go to class together at GT. (GT is gifted and talented, but around here they call it Alpha, which I think is a terrible name.)

The kids LOVED being back at school. My kids do way better learning at school then at home virtually.

During their online school, I was doing all my trainings for preschool and getting the room set up. It was so much work. Let me tell you, teachers are having to work extra hard to make school happen this year, so be nice to them.

Soccer Season

August 31-Dylan's soccer season started with a new team. This team was really different from our last team, so it was different, but we were all happy to be doing sports again. His team is the Mavericks.

The day before we went to church and our area had just switched it up, so we could go twice a month at this point.

Island Adventure

Saturday, August 29-We take the kids on dates, well, they call them island adventures. It was my turn to take Blake and he wanted to go to Ikea, so we went to Ikea and then went to a really yummy restaurant close to it. Blake loved the food and he loves to go to Ikea.
