Treehouse Park

Saturday morning was nice...for a little while, so we went to one of our favorite parks. Believe it or not, it was Aaron's first time ever going to that park.

After playing the boys wanted to show Aaron the walk that we take at that park. While walking, Blake started to run and said, "Okay everyone, let's jog it out." Sounds like something he hears a lot in his PE class.

They wanted to do some more exercises, but only boys were allowed to do it. Sometimes it is totally great not being apart of the boys only club.

After the park, we went and all got flu shots. Everyone did great...no tears. Although Blake was slightly disappointed that they didn't have any stickers. When we got into the car Dylan asked, "Mom, why did they give me an owie?"

Six Flags

Friday we picked up Blake from school and drove to Six Flags. Aaron's company closes down the park for the night and only its employees and their families are there. We got there right when it opened (5pm), which was great because we were able to get most of the rides done before people really started to show up.

The kids have been  to Disneyland many times and never really got excited about characters there, but when they saw Superman at Six Flags they were EXCITED!

They love to drive the trucks.

We did the Ferris wheel

Blake loved driving the cars.

We went on the oil tower that is super tall and you can see everything...like the Superman ride.

And the Cowboy stadium. This is the stadium Aaron was at the day Dylan was born.

They had a maze/trick or treat deal for the kids, where they got some candy.

They also got some balloons. They both wanted swords, but also belts to put them in. And we came away with bags and bags of chips, cookies and drinks...all PepsiCo products.

Open Gym and Dinner with Friends

Because of potty training, we have been staying closer to home lately, but we went with our friends Beckett, Kelsey, Ryker and Dace to the city's open gym day. It was in our community center. It was fantastic. The gym was full of fun stuff for the kids and Dylan had a blast.
This bounce house was his favorite.

Until he found this John Deere tractor.

Our friends live on our walk home from school, so we pretty much always stop off on our way...especially now Dylan needs to make a potty stop. Robyn had something come up and she needed us to watch her kids that night for a little bit. Aaron didn't get home until 7, so it was all the boys and me for dinner. The boys had so much fun together.

Heard Museum

As  previously mentioned, on Saturday, we went to the Heard Museum. The last time we went there, we were attacked by chiggers, so this time we drenched ourselves with bug spray. The boys were super excited to go. They packed their backpacks, made sure we had binoculars, and helped packed lunches...theses are all important things to them. Blake used the binoculars most of the time.

We got a new camera a couple weeks ago, which we got some pictures on of this outing, which will eventually get posted. I just got an email from the folks in London letting me know that they haven't found my camera and they are closing the case.

Anyway, they have different dinosaurs this year.

Sticks are a big deal to boys..especially when you are surrounded by them. Blake found one while we were on our hike and we put it in the jogger while we were eating lunch. Then we went over to the play area. Blake noticed after playing for a little bit, that his stick was gone. Who would take someone's stick that was in a stroller? Blake was sad, so Aaron took him to find another one. They came back with this. He was proud of it and sad that we wouldn't let him take it home.

Cox Park

Friday after school, the kids wanted to play at the park right next to Blake's school.

Doesn't the sky look pretty? It was actually a nice day...like the high in the 80s...but we still went swimming when we got home.

Bounce House

Thursday was preschool for Blake. When I picked him up, Ms. Shannon said Lacie and Dylan are now BFFs and they did everything together.

On our way home from school, we stopped by Cohen's house and played for a little bit (we had played for awhile Wednesday so we didn't want to play too long this time). Then on our way home, Ashley and Carter were outside of their house and asked if we wanted to play on their bounce house. We just can't pass that up. It was hot, but overcast. Dylan had fun playing baseball...Aaron was so disappointed when I showed him the picture.

They had so much fun and were so warn out.

Hope Park

Tuesday we meet up with some friends at Hope Park. One of our favorites. Beckett, Kelsey, Dace and Ryker were all there, but I didn't get any pictures of them because I am awesome like that.

Can you see this kid dripping in sweat? It was so hot, but we had fun. The great thing about this park is it is close to Costco, so we made a Costco run afterward and then headed home.

We went to pick up Blake from school. As we were walking home, our neighbors, Ashley and Carter drove by in their golf cart and asked if Blake wanted to ride home with them. So, they took the long way home and then dropped him off at our house while Dylan and I walked the rest of the way. Yep, I didn't zoom on this picture, but they are in the far distance. Angie, the mom, said Blake and Ashley were in the back just chatting away. It was the highlight of Blake's day. He loves that golf cart.
