Frozen Birthday Party

The party on Saturday was for a family in our ward who recently were baptized. They are originally from Brazil and they are fun. I didn't know that the mom has some crazy good party decorating skills. I didn't get many pictures of the decorations, but it was impressive.

The boys playing with Beckett and Anthony (the birthday girl's brother).

Pretty cool looking cake right? She actually had a friend do it so I was picking her brain on how she did it. People are pretty creative. Happy Birthday Sophia!

Easter Egg Hunt

This morning our HOA had an Easter Egg hunt. They don't try to even hide the eggs, but the kids still love it.

And we saw another Superman there.

After getting our allotted eggs, we rode on the train.

The boys got a balloon sword and then took a picture with the Easter bunny.

Blake still doesn't like to take pictures with characters, but he made it in this picture.

Dylan went inside the bounce house.

Then he went to the petting zoo...our neighbor Ashley was in there too.

He really enjoyed feeding the animals.

Blake didn't want to be involved at all.

It was a fun event. We got to see lots of friends and neighbors and classmates. After we ate lunch, I took the boys over to our friends' house (Sadie and Max). The kids played and had a really fun time while I chatted with Laresa. We came home and then left again for our friend, Sophia's birthday.

Lunch

Wednesday Dylan went to his friends' house for a playdate and Thursday Dylan had preschool. Friday Dylan and I went to Blake's school to have lunch with him. After school the kids were jumping on the tramp while I was doing yard work and Dylan hurt his other front tooth. The kid didn't want to eat his dinner because it hurt. This kid just doesn't want to keep his teeth. Anyway, Blake's school had a carnival that night, but Blake wasn't super excited to go and since I didn't want Dylan going crazy at the carnival and smashing his teeth into something, we didn't go.

Heard Museum

Tuesday morning I had some more yard work to do, so after that was done, Dylan and I went to the Heard Museum. Dylan wanted to go on the long hike so that he could see the turtles.

And we did see lots of turtles.

And that made his day.

We played in the treehouses as the boys like to call them.

It was a fun day hanging out with Dylan. After school, we stayed and played at the playground for awhile.

Park After School

Earlier this week, the weather was really nice. Monday morning Dylan and I did a lot of yard work. After we picked Blake up from school we walked to the park and played for awhile.

I think spring is actually here and going to stay. The good news is we have had so much rain that we will no longer have stage 4 watering restrictions, which means no watering at all.

Stockyards Continued

More pictures from the Stockyards.

This is where they hold the Longhorns. They come down this ramp for their run that they do 2 times each day.

Here is the main street that goes through the Stockyards. While there it was obvious that the thing to do was to cruise down the street in your big truck.

We were waiting for the Longhorn Run.

After the run (although there was no running at all) we went to a gunfight. I was holding up Blake so he could see so it was way too complicated for me to get a good picture.

We then headed over to the rodeo.

The little girl is 4 years old. She was pretty cute.

It was nice to see some of Aaron's relatives and me and the boys to meet a lot of them. Aaron's extended family is so big that we haven't met half of them.

Overview of the Stockyards: It is something you have to do one time in your life and since we live so close, we did it, but it isn't a place that we need to frequent.
