Months ago, Aaron's mom's mom (Grandma Broderick) scheduled a trip to Texas to visit her Texas relatives. The plan was to fly into Houston and stay with her daughter (Aaron's aunt) Verena and her family. Well, Aaron has a cousin who lives in Abilene. To make a very long story short, they all came to our house for the weekend and stayed at our house (gulp). We had lots and lots of rain late last week and I was praying that we would have nice weather because the plan was to keep them outside so that they wouldn't destroy the house. Well, it rained, but not too bad. Friday around dinner everyone arrived so we had hamburgers and hot dogs. Then we made s'mores. The kids played outside afterwards and then it was time for bed. My kids go to bed a lot earlier then the rest, but the rest were not quiet so my kids didn't get much sleep that night. The adults (and some kids) stayed up and talked.
