Love Day Gifts

The day before Valentine's Day, the boys got a letter in the mail (card and "big" money from great-grammy) AND a package in the mail (candy, "big" money and a beanie and gloves from grandma and grandpa).  Dylan loves dogs and grammy picked the perfect card for him...he still carries the card around and will show everyone the dog.

Blake was a little more excited about the "big" money then he was with the card, but loved getting something in the mail.
We are going to go visit my folks in Ohio on their mission, just a couple weeks before their mission is over. Since it is going to be a bit colder then we are used to, they sent the kids a beanie and gloves.

Dylan was a little frustrated that the candy was in a bag...he wanted to eat it right away!

Yes, beanies and gloves are exciting things because they never wear them.

Funny Kids

One of Blake's favorite songs is Party Rock. He watched the You Tube video a lot and likes to dance to it (Dylan also dances along). Blake loves the robot, so took a box to create his own robot costume and started to dance.

Who says toddlers don't need a bath every night?

Home Depot

Blake and I went to Home Depot this weekend and participated in the kids workshops that they put on while Aaron took Dylan out on a church assignment.

At first he didn't want to build it so I told him that I would make it for myself. It didn't take him long before he changed his mind and grabbed the hammer.

Is it weird that he is better with a hammer then with a paint brush?

When I was putting him to bed he said, "that was fun going to Home Depot today and making that project."

Tools

The boys love to fix things and as is  the norm, they play well together for awhile.

Then Dylan gets annoyed and goes and plays by himself. (And yes, he likes to squat like this)

Dylan felt like he needed another tool belt.

15 Months

Dylan turned 15 months old, which meant a trip to the doctors. The 15 month check up is a new one...Blake just had 12 month and 18 month. I kind of wish we didn't have this check up. The vaccinations he got did not make him happy. I think the nurse must of hit something because he wouldn't move his arms for 2 days and he was miserable.

This is our miserable Dylan. He is 34 1/4 inches tall, which is still off the charts. He weighs 25 pounds 11 ounces, which is 85th percentile. Shocker...he is still a big kid. Lately he has been really trying to mimic what people are doing, especially what Blake does. We go on walks a lot and Blake likes to jump over things and climb up things, so Dylan likes to follow in his footsteps, but he can't jump yet so it is pretty funny to see him try to jump.  He was taking a nap around 11am, but now goes down closer to 1pm, which makes Disneyland and church easier. His new words...ouchie, yes, and this. He folds his hands when we say a prayer and says amen and nods while saying amen.
