September 27--One of my friends at school gave me this awesome pumpkin/waffle iron. It is in the shape of a pumpkin and it is a pancake on one side and a waffle on the other. We make pumpkin pancakes in them...hence the name. We love this iron.
On our walk, we saw this tarantula. Not a fan of these things.
We got a new bishopric. Bishop Bell, and Scott Call and Kenny Favero. All these guys we know and totally support.
For dinner, we went over to the Ririe's house. Their 15 year old daughter, Rikki has been having issues with her leg/nerves/foot for over a year. Nothing has worked and she has lost all feeling in her leg, so they were doing a spinal injection on Tuesday, so we went over for dinner and a blessing. Side note: the injections didn't work, so months later they did a surgery. She is now 7 weeks after the surgery and still recovering. She can't sit long at all. But the cool thing is she stubbed her toe and could feel it. This family is such a great family. Her older brother just started BYU this year and surprised her and her family and flew out here for her surgery. How sweet is that?! We are still praying hard for Rikki and her family. It is an emotional roller coaster.
