Heard Museum...From Grandma's View

Blake with his hiking buddy.

After the hike, we ate some food.

As we headed out, we got a picture.

Heard Museum

Thursday morning, the weather was nice, so we went to the Heard Museum and went on our hike.

Blake always had to be the leader with Grandpa.

We kept Dylan in the jogger as long as we could.

We stopped about half way for a little snack and some water.

So, my kids zone out a lot and I have proof that they do. Um, Blake, what are you looking at?

They locked themselves in the jail.

Wouldn't you know it, they started acting like criminals and found some rocks and started throwing the rocks out the window.

After our hike and seeing the animals, we went inside and played.

Dylan the owl.

Blake the raccoon.

Wednesday

Wednesday was Blake's last day of preschool. To celebrate, Blake wanted to go to McDonald's. Then we went to Home Depot to pick up some more supplies for the projects for Grandpa.

Blake and Dylan love to test out the tools.

While Blake was at school, Dylan stayed home with Grandpa and helped with some projects. Grandma came with me and I got new tires...not exciting, but so much easier without kids. Then we went and did some shopping...without kids.

The Race...Another Take

So I might have swiped pictures from my mom's camera, so we get to enjoy more pictures of the day. Here we are getting ready for the big race.

Some people like to stretch before.

His expression is priceless...they love the splash pad.

Splash Pad

The weather forecast said it would be raining nearly all week, so when we had nice weather, we decided to take advantage of it. Tuesday morning, we went to the Tree house park and splash pad.

The boys made Grandpa chase them.

We went on a walk in the park.

On our walk, whenever we get to the soccer fields, the boys always have to race. Blake spotted the perfect area for a race.  The boys stretched and flexed their rmuscles, then we raced.

Then we ended up back at the park, where Grandpa continued to chase after the boys.

The boys threw their shoes, pretending they were bombs.

Luckily, Grandpa survived the bombs and was able to install a ceiling fan in Dylan's room...with some help from the boys. Since Grandpa had a ladder, the boys each got little step ladders to be on while they watched Grandpa.

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day, we had a breakfast at church. The EQ was in charge, which meant that Aaron was in charge. There was a live band, face painting, kickball, service project, minute to win it games, etc. The service project was to make 1,500 cards for Meals on Wheels. Don't think we reached that goal that morning, but the kids sure had fun being creative.

After our ward activity, my mom and I went shopping while the guys went to the splash pad and park. We joined up for dinner, then we went to Cabela's.

Dylan was super excited about the HUGE catfish.

They loved riding on the tractors.

My mom took this super cute picture of Dylan.

The boys had a great time helping Grandpa with projects.
