Baptisms

Saturday, September 26- This was a fun day! Dylan had a soccer game, then we went straight to Landon's baptism. It was fun to see lots of family. Aaron's aunt and uncle were there, who we see a lot and it is always great to catch up with them. Then we saw his cousins, Aubrey and Brittany...and Jeremy. Those are Amy's (Landon's mom) siblings. Then his cousins who live in Houston and their mom and dad came. Amy has a cousin on her dad's side who lives in our city, so they were there too. Then we see David's family pretty well, so it was fun to see his parents and his sister, Susanna (who lives in Bentonville, who we saw at a park when we  were out visiting Adam and Becki).

The baptism was great and David is in the bishopric, so it was all just family.

Then we went home, at lunch, then headed over to the Neumann's backyard for Beckett's baptism, which was in his backyard. We were close to having Landon's baptism in our pool, but changed it to the stake center. How cool though that Beckett was baptized in his pool?! It was great and fun to see all the family. We know Cambria's parents and siblings well and Sean's parents and sister well, so it was great to talk with them. We knew we were getting a new Bishop the next day, so it was the last business that Bishop had to take care of.

After the baptism, Aaron and I met up with Amy and family to eat at Hutchins. I love baptisms so it was such a special day to be able to participate in 2 and for 2 really amazing boys!

Landon's Birthday Party

Friday, September 25--Dylan was selected by his teacher as a Longhorn Legend. Exciting! And Grandma sent the boys a book, which they were very excited about.

As soon as Blake got home from school, we went over to Landon's birthday party. David's parents rented a house, so we had the party there.

Another Soccer Game

Saturday, September 19- Dylan had another soccer game.

Earlier that week, Dylan started his Alpha program, which is their GT program. His best friend in his class is also in Alpha with him, so they sit by each other on the bus.

Soccer Game

Saturday, September 13- Dylan had his first soccer game for the season. His new team wasn't very good, but Dylan loved playing. They practiced 2 times a week. Dylan mostly played as a defender, but he also played as a goalie sometimes, which he also loves.

Beckett's Birthday Party

Friday, September 11--Beckett had a birthday party at Pump it Up. Blake was invited, but he gets home from school so late now. The kids had so much fun at the party.

Earlier in the week, our preschool kids started. Preschool looks different, but everyone was so excited to be back at school. Us teachers were excited too. We all need some normal. It was fun to see my co-workers too. The ladies that I work with are amazing.

Park with Avir

Saturday, September 7-Labor day, we went to the park with Avir and his family. Blake's friend Kenny is still not going out of the house, so it was just Avir and Blake. They do not have any classes together, so they have fun seeing each other.

In Person School

September 3-This was a glorious day because the kids went back to school. Dylan starts school at 8 and is done at 3:07 and  Blake takes the bus to and from school. School starts at 8:45 and is done at 3:52. He doesn't get home until 4:20. Blake wears a mask all day and lunch has assigned seating, which meant that they had 3 days to find their friends and sit at that same table, after those 3 days that is where they remain. There are 2 lunches per grade. For choir, he has to wear a mask and a face shield---a bit much huh?

Dylan is under age 10 so he isn't required, so guess what??? He doesn't wear it at school. He goes to his GT school one day a week. So he is required to wear a mask on the bus to and from the school and while at the school, but he is totally fine with it because his GT day is his favorite. His best buddy Jacob is part of GT, so they ride the bus together and go to class together at GT. (GT is gifted and talented, but around here they call it Alpha, which I think is a terrible name.)

The kids LOVED being back at school. My kids do way better learning at school then at home virtually.

During their online school, I was doing all my trainings for preschool and getting the room set up. It was so much work. Let me tell you, teachers are having to work extra hard to make school happen this year, so be nice to them.

Soccer Season

August 31-Dylan's soccer season started with a new team. This team was really different from our last team, so it was different, but we were all happy to be doing sports again. His team is the Mavericks.

The day before we went to church and our area had just switched it up, so we could go twice a month at this point.

Island Adventure

Saturday, August 29-We take the kids on dates, well, they call them island adventures. It was my turn to take Blake and he wanted to go to Ikea, so we went to Ikea and then went to a really yummy restaurant close to it. Blake loved the food and he loves to go to Ikea.
