Swimming with Friends

Tuesday we did a lot of school work, then we went to Costco. We came home and swam. Then Colton's mom and dad picked up Blake for practice. They took him to Costco on their way home because they needed to grab something and it is right by practice, so they all got hot dogs. Then they went to 7 eleven to get slurpees. Blake was in heaven when he got home. While Blake was gone, I took Dylan to his practice. A teammate lives on 10 acres, so we had practice there because a good portion is shaded from trees...it makes a big difference.

Wednesday we went to Sprouts, then did some visiting teaching. Then we came home and ate an early lunch, then went to the community pool because a bunch of moms and kids in the ward were getting together again to say good bye to our friends. We stayed for 3 hours. It was a lot of fun. That night Blake had soccer practice for his Dragons team. It is at 6pm and I about died and I was in the shade. Poor kids.

Thursday we had our friends, the de la Houssayes over. They were in our ward, but moved a year ago. Well, they moved again so now they are closer to us. We have hung out, but it has been when Brexton and Blake were at school, so it was the first time in almost a year that the boys hung out. It was fun. I love hanging out with them, so I am glad they are closer to us. After they left, I gave the boys haircuts.

Perot Museum

Monday morning it was still raining so it was a perfect day for the Perot. We got there and no one was there. Everyone is on vacation (probably because we are now in our 95 degree weather, but the real feel is 105 and it cools down to 80 degrees at night....yuck!)

So the boys did their races....I  think they did 10 races before anyone else even came in the same room.

Dylan's face makes me laugh.

We did the ride all by ourselves.

After lunch we went to the children's section and eventually made it outside and it was so humid. It had been raining, but it was so gross.

Before leaving they wanted to play on the frogs.

And play music.

On our way home, we stopped and got Aaron's car registered and went to the scout store. When we were at the scout store, the sky was  totally dark because a huge storm was coming so we went home. We got home and saw this down the street. Our friends are putting a pool in their backyard. She called me a couple days later because she wasn't happy with how it was looking. I'm glad I'm not putting the pool in.

Soccer Games

Saturday morning I did yard work. I had to go get a part at Home Depot, so we didn't have enough time to go to a birthday party. Oh well. Finished the mowing, etc and then we ate, then went to Dylan's game. Blake noticed that one of the girls on the other team was one of the girls that he did his sports camp with last summer. What a small world.

His team lost and Dylan was is lala land half the time and the other half of the time he played really well.

We went home and went swimming, then we went back for Blake's soccer game. His team played well and were really fun to watch. Their first game I think they were just getting used to the whole indoor things. They won this game because the kids are finally learning to play their position and not run wherever the ball is.

Sunday we went to church. Since Aaron was gone the boys went over to Beckett and Kelsey's house while I went to a meeting after church. They left a couple days later for a trip.

Hanging Out

A little over a week ago, Aaron left for Japan. The boys enjoyed playing/eating cantaloupe before he had to leave.

They played while I cleaned. I even cleaned some of the outside windows...just so 2 days later we would have a terrible thunderstorm. (Our power went out briefly and I found out later, a house about 1 mile from us was struck by lightening and burned down even with the crazy rain)

And we swam and swam.

Spider Man and Captain America

The boys love to dress up.

Last night I went to a Girls Night Out. We went to dinner since our friend Amanda is moving. I did get to see pictures of her house and am really excited for her. It is a great house. His work is 10 minutes from their house.

Dylan's Hiding Place

Wednesday we had Beckett and Kelsey over while Cambria took Ledger to the doctor. He had an ear infection and has 5 teeth coming in. Poor kid. The other kids had fun, then they went home while we ran some errands, then we met them at the beach club. We stayed for a couple hours...since Blake's soccer practice was canceled. It was a hot one, so very nice to be in the pool. We also saw a couple other folks from church there.

I was doing some stuff in the house and didn't hear Dylan, so I went looking. He was in the pantry...busted.

Animals are Out

Tuesday we went grocery shopping and swimming. Later it was our turn to take to Blake's practice. Aaron took Dylan to his practice. I rang Colton's doorbell, his mom opened the door and a lizard snuck in their house, so i told them. Colton grabbed it with his hands and as he was taking it outside, it puffed out his neck and bit Colton. Poor kid.

Then we were walking into soccer practice and we saw a turtle. The rain has stopped and so all the animals and critters are out. Great fun.

Tree house Park with Kenny

Sunday after church, we went over to the Neumann's house for a good bye dinner for our friends the Drysdale's. They are moving to Dallas so they can be close to work. So...they won't be far from us, but not in our ward anymore. We'll miss them.

Monday morning we picked up Kenny (Mrs. Sias' kid, who is Blake's friend) and went to the park. She had doctor's appointments. It was sad to see her because she wasn't looking great. She didn't want Blake to see her like that, but said to give him a hug from her. We had him most of the day.

We went to the park and we saw Truett's mom and sister. Truett was a teammate on Dylan's last soccer team. So I talked with her for awhile. Her husband just sold their restaurant that was a couple hours away and he is going to build one here, which is something we need.

They played in the splash pad for awhile too.

They came with me to Lowe's on the way home. After lunch and more playing at our house, we dropped him off.
