Lunch with the Boys

November 1--I didn't have to work so we went and had lunch with the boys. we brought them Subway.

Happy Halloween

We went with the Neumann's trick or treating. We went to their house to meet up with them and to see Rowan--he was born on Dylan's birthday! He is so cute. He has red hair like his dad, but not as red as his sister's.

It was cold, but we hustled along.

And  they managed to get a decent stash. Grandpa stayed home to watch a football game, but Grandma came with.

Happy Birthday Dylan!

October 28--Dylan turned 8!!  After breakfast, he opened his presents.

He got some money from Great Grandma.

My folks got him a lego set. They also brought all of us some goodies from their recent trip to Peru.

We got him a fitness tracker.

And a lego set.

And  scriptures and a scripture case.

Uncle David and family gave him this cool dirt bike.

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson sent him a check.

The boys had the day off of school because it was parent teacher conference, so I headed to the school with Blake. In 5th grade the kids need to be at the conference. We went to Blake's class first. He is doing great. He has some really great test scores and he is a kind and helpful kid who gets along great with the other kids and his teachers love him. Mrs. Wilson hopes that he will start talking more.

Then we went to Dylan's class. The kid has amazing test scores and his teacher tells us that all the kids love him--as she says, "He is the cool kid in class who everyone wants to be with." But once he is done with his work, then he distracts his friends. I told her that she needs to give him more work. He also photo bombed his friend's video that he was making. She wasn't too happy about that. I think his teacher is a really good teacher, but I'm not convinced yet that her personality is a good fit for Dylan. He does have to learn that not all his teachers are going to love him...like his past teachers have.

We got home from conferences and then went and got donuts.

Then we went to Top Golf for Dylan's birthday.

Aaron had to work, but Grandma and Grandpa were able to come.

Then we went to Cabella's.

For dinner we went to Hutchins. So yummy!!

October 26-We had our ward trunk or treat.

Grandma and Grandpa joined in on the fun.

They got a pretty good stash.

Grandma and Grandpa Come to Town

My folks came into town for Dylan's birthday and baptism. They painted a treasure chest that Grandma used in her talk during the baptism.

Enjoying Outside

Having fun riding scooters.

Getting Ready for Halloween

We made this creation.

The boys made these

And their own pizza....this is a pumpkin.

And a tombstone. They got a little messed up in the oven, but they still tasted good.

A Race and a Party

October 19--Blake and I had another race. I ran a half marathon and Blake ran the 5k. I didn't get to see Blake's race because I was running, but Aaron was there and then took Blake to Dylan's game.

Blake got 27:22--he did great!!

I didn't get to see any of the soccer game, but later that day I took Dylan  to Hudson's birthday party which was at the batting cages. It was a fun party!

Dylan and Hudson. They are in the same class again this year. They were in the same kindergarten class. Hudson's mom is a kindergarten teacher at their school and is super sweet.
