Did you miss us? I missed us. We have been sick. How sick? Blake took a nap 5 days in a row. Some folks have said that they secretly like it when their kids are sick because then they cuddle, etc. I do not like it when my kids are sick. It was really weird to have kids just sit and not want to do anything. This is what it would be like to have calm kids?! Kind of boring. Dylan was not only sick, but also teething, so there were some rough nights. I can always tell how the kids are feeling by how much they eat. It wasn't until Monday that both the kids ate like their normal ravenous selves.
On a probably just as depressing and stressful note, we have started our house hunt. The real estate market is crazy! Who thought it would be totally normal to make offers on houses without even seeing them and then be outbid by 10 other people when the house has been on the market for a day? As we have mentioned before, Blake is terrified of dogs thanks to my brother's dog. Every house we go into, Blake asks if there are dogs inside. He waits and listens for a dog.
On a fun note...Dylan can make the sound that monkeys make. It is the only animal that he has down, but it is a fun one to know. He has a shirt that has a monkey on it, which is probably his favorite shirt because he picks it out of his drawer all the time. (It is one that my mom got him for his bday) When you ask where the monkey is, he points to it on his shirt and makes the monkey sound. When he isn't wearing the shirt and you ask what a monkey says, he will point to his shirt (where the monkey would be on the other shirt) and make the sound of a monkey.
Now that Blake is feeling better, he has enjoyed riding his bike outside. I like my healthy kids!
