Tasty batter, Not cool, Let's go home, Cheeky, Shooting the Pilot

Let's start off by sharing some of Dylan's fun sayings as of late then we'll move onto to Blake's.

Michelle and I were in the kitchen making muffins for dinner.  Dylan was sitting on the table "helping" us.  After mixing the batter, Dylan grabs the spatula that we'd used to scrap the batter into the muffin pan.  He then proceeds to lick the spatula while his eyes are closed.  He stops after his first lick and looks at Michelle and I and says, "hmmm. That tasteeeey".    Around our house, we've now co-opted his version of the pronunciation of tasty.

Blake and Dylan will have moments of greatness where they play and play without any issues or problems.  However, that only lasts for so long and then we have to step in and keep the peace.  The other day was one of those days.  The boys were playing downstairs while Michelle and I were in the kitchen.  Fits of giggles were coming from the other room as we cooked and cleaned.  Blake then did something that Dylan as not a fan of and Dylan turns to Blake and calmly states "Not.... cool ....Blakey Boy".

Blake had a great idea of making some valentine's cookies and taking them to our neighbors to be nice.  So, we spent yesterday making and distributing cookies.  We were over at our 2nd delivery house chatting for a bit just inside their front door and Dylan asked our neighbor is they had any "Woody or Buzz" presumable to play with them.  They, of course, only have daughters so he told Blake they didn't have any toy story toys. Our neighbor quickly followed up that they had some other toys that he could play with.  He looks at Michelle and then and me and said, "Hmm, no. Go home."   Apparently, if you don't have toy story toys, Dylan would rather just be at home where he knows what he'll be able to play with.

Blake had a few humorous comments as well the last few days:

The boys are really into those I Spy / Where's Waldo types books.  They have a handful of items distrusted throughout each picture page and tell you what your supposed to look for.  The boys and I were reading through one of these books and we couldn't find a robin bird that they had hidden in the page.  We looked and looked and looked, but he was pretty elusive.  Blake calls out to Michelle that, "we just can't find the robin, mom."  He then looks back at the page and says, "Come on robin, don't be cheeky, where are you?". There is a British cartoon that the boys love called, Peppa Pig.  And yes he's picked up a few words and a little bit of an ancient on some words just watching that blasted show.  What american kid says, "Mom, do we need any petrol", or tells a picture of a robin not to be "cheeky"?  That's just plan daft.  :)

Michelle and I were talking about the BBC Sherlock series and I said in front of the kids.  "Yeah, so they couldn't use the pilot as it was so they had to re-shoot the pilot."
Blake said, "Oh no, Who had to re-shoot the pilot? What did the pilot do?"
That was a fun one to explain.

That's all we have for now.  Thanks for reading.  Cheers.
