Last Saturday we had Blake's soccer game at 10:15. It was supposed to be 50 degrees, so we dressed for that. BUT we didn't know crazy cold wind was going to be a factor. Apparently with the wind chill it was 36 degrees, which is cold. Our wind here is really strong wind.
The boys have been practicing hard every day after school and Blake was a little better this week. The coach for the other team needed to not coach 6/7 year old boys...he wasn't a nice person. Made me more grateful that our boys have great coaches.
Aaron stayed with Blake at his game while I took Dylan over to his game since they overlapped. When Dylan is cold then you know it is cold...and he was very cold. He wasn't as focused because he was busy trying to stay warm. They had thermals on, but they needed more. No was expecting the super chilliness. Dylan scored 1 goal.
Our HOA had an Easter Egg Hunt from 10-12, which was exactly during the soccer games. We got to the hunt at 12:10 and everything was cleaned up. But we found the guy in charge and he took us to the office where the leftovers were and let the boys get their 20 eggs each. Awesome....we didn't have to fight the crowds and they still got their eggs.
In the afternoon the wind stopped so it was pleasant outside, so we did yardwork.
A couple weeks ago we were told at church that 3 stakes, including ours were going to be reorganized. That's it....the next Sunday they said our ward wouldn't be affected. THEN last week they read a letter saying that we need to be at a special meeting next Sunday (Easter) at 5:30 because they are changing all the wards in our stake...getting rid of 3 (2 are 45 minutes away and 1 is in Oklahoma...these never made sense to me to be in our stake) and making a new ward. So...this kind of messes with Easter dinner plans AND we are all wondering what is going on. The stake primary president sent all us primary presidents an email about the upcoming changes. This is going to be crazy. The timing is also kind of bad because we are registering kids for Twilight camp so paying for it is going to be interesting with each ward's budget. Anyway...we'll see what the changes are.
