April 14...Blake turned 9. He was so excited. After we ate breakfast he opened his presents. We got him so more train tracks, some clothes since he has been growing a lot....
and this lego set.
Aaron's folks sent him some money.
My parents sent him a card, which he loved...
but the saw this huge box and was even more excited.
Lots of packaging
Score! This guy loves legos.
Naturally they had to pop all the packaging.
We had no soccer games that day so he put his lego sets together and then we went to our escape room. Blake has wanted to do one for awhile, so we thought this would be fun for his birthday especially since we found one for ages 10 and up, located in our city and we found a deal for it on Groupon. It was just the 4 of us.
We escaped because we are awesome!! It was a lot of fun. We had 7 minutes left on the clock.
Then we went out to dinner. Blake picked an Italian restaurant. It is so yummy.
He requested lemon bars instead of a birthday cake.
Happy Birthday bud! We are so lucky to have you in our family! It has been a year since he was baptized and we have seen a difference in him. He has always been a good kid, but this year he has grown a lot spiritually. He is really good at praying for other people and after his nighttime prayers he will say a couple more before he goes to sleep. He is doing great in school. His teacher says that his classmates want to follow him because he is a good person--they are drawn to his goodness. He isn't a loud, outspoken person, but people love his example and he has become a leader in his class.
