15 Months

Blake turned 15 months old last week. He loves Aaron's razor and he found Aaron's old razor and immediately put it up to his face and started to "shave".

He has to monitor what is going on the kitchen, so he was "helping" me cook the other day and found the zucchini bread and decided to help himself.

We have been going to the pool a lot lately. One day after the pool we came home to water the plants and of course, Blake had to do it.

This is what happens all day...everyday! When Blake is bored, he will put on his shoes and say all done and bye-bye and open the door. Don't you just love his little flip flops?

Double the fun

We went over to visit our friends last week and their cute twins, who are just a couple of weeks old. Here are the happy (possibly a little tired) parents with Elle. Thanks for having us over!

And here is the other midget, Michael with the newlyweds Jen and Spencer.

Sleeping like a baby?

Ok, so what's the point? You buy a crib large enough so he doesn't have to be cramped and what does he do? Incredible. Next time, just buy the extra small one cause he's just going to curl up in the corner anyway. At least his foot is getting some much needed fresh air and space.

Day at the zoo

So it was zoo time again this week. We headed up the road to the Orange County zoo. Blake really likes two animals right now--dogs and birds. So, the entire day every animal we saw was either a "Da" or a "Bir". At least the coyotes are in the same family tree.

They have a little petting area with a lot of goats. Blake even got to do a little brushing himself.

We were over by the bunnies when a deer came walking along. Bambi wasn't as accommodating to the petting as the goats were.

A man after his father. :) Blake met this little girl and she couldn't keep her hands off of him. This innocent love blossomed right by the raccoon den. Coons, is there anything they can't do?

Blake's love of all cleaning doesn't just stop at our house. Right as we arrived to the petting area, the worker there was just finishing straightening up. Apparently, Blake didn't think she did a good enough job. :)

After getting our fill of enough live animals, we headed over to the park and Blake wanted to see if he could last 8 seconds on the wild plastic horse. Yee-haw!

Happy Father's Day

Aaron was gone this week for work and we sure missed him! Blake kept going in our bedroom looking for dad (apparently he thinks sleeping is the only thing dad does). Happy Father's Day!

New Obsession

Did you know how much fun a mop could be? Apparently this midget thinks mops are a ton of fun!

He had to mop one last time before bed.

14 Months

Fun times...Blake turned 14 months on Monday, which is the same day that his new cousin, Gavin, was born. Congrats to Alma and Chelsea on their latest addition. Blake is saying more words, but I think his favorite word is dog. This could be his favorite because we just got new neighbors and Blake can see their yard from his window, so he loves to look out his window and say hi to the dog. This is one way that he know he is awake. He also loves to say bird and see the birds, but I think only Aaron and I know that he is saying bird, so he has to work on that word. We go to the park almost every day and see plenty of dogs and birds...sometimes that is more exciting than the play equipment.
Having fun with the laundry..such a helper?!

This kid LOVES to eat. He found some goldfish in my church bag (the snack for my class on Sunday) and was tearing the bag open. It had been about 15 minutes since he last ate.

Fangs

I know this isn't the best picture and you will probably have to click on the picture to enlarge it, but this picture kind of shows the fangs the Snakes, oh, I mean, Blake has. It is hilarious because his upper front teeth just barely broke through, but you can't see them, so he looks like he has fangs.

Blake's Toys

Sometimes I wonder why we ever bother with actual toys because it seems like Blake finds his own things that aren't intended to be toys and plays with them. For example...he loves his measuring tape. We are having a new water heater installed (so exciting) and so the guy was out to measure, but forgot his measuring tape, so I had him borrow ours. Blake really didn't want to share it and would take it back every time the guy put the measuring tape down.

His toothbrush seems to be a toy too. Or at least he loves to walk around "brushing" his teeth. (I know, I know-not safe) Well, maybe his uncle Trevor, who is a dentist, might be pleased to hear that a little kid loves brushing their teeth...as few teeth as he has.

Joys of Eating

This just made me laugh. Apparently he was so hungry that he had to have some banana in each hand.

As most parents know, your kid will always want to eat whatever you are eating. Well, Blake stole my apple and ran away to eat/gnaw the apple.
