Wiggle worm

I always find Blake turned in his crib with his head up against the bumber every morning. He likes to look at the monkeys up on the wall. Doesn't he know he has a whole crib to spread out in?

He's Learning

Blake loves (for about 10 minutes) his toys!

Oh, and he is so advanced he is reading now. Well, about how I "read" books...looking at the cover.
He really likes sitting up so he can see what is going on.

All smiles

I love Blake's smiles. Here are some pictures of our happy boy!

Happy Father's Day!

Since Blake's blessing was on Father's Day, we celebrated Father's day the following week. Here are my two favorite guys. Blake loves kisses from Aaron...doesn't it look like it?

Lunch with Dad

Blake got to meet some of Aaron's co-workers when we met Aaron for lunch one day. Thanks Katie, Vidya, Arash, and Jen for holding and playing with Blake!

Family Gathering for Blake's Blessing

Tiffanie and Chelsea (Aaron's sisters) and their families were down in California for the weekend. We decided to head to the beach for a day of fun and sand castle building. The nieces and nephews decided that they wanted to be part of the scenery instead of just enjoying it. So, I helped them. We got home and found sand everywhere--I can only image the places that they ended up finding some.

Sunday we had Blake's blessing. here we are just outside the church. It was a beautiful day and apparently the blessing went well too. Thanks everyone for the support and the visits. We had fun, but I think Blake appreciated the time, energy and money that was given up to come out and visit the most. I hope the good memories out weigh the other ones. Thanks again.

Lil Blake

Our friend Katie made this beanie for Blake, which he wears on our walks every night. This is a couple of weeks ago. Isn't it a cute beanie? Thanks Katie!

8 Weeks

Like Father, Like Son...
Blake loves to watch TV with his dad. He has enjoyed the playoffs!

Here is Blake just hanging out.

Blake now smiles for us! I'll go ahead and say it...he smiled for me first. It is hard to try and capture his smile so we are glad we have a digital camera.

Is this normal?

Monday night we came home from our walk to find our carpet downstairs really wet. Aaron went outside and discovered water gushing out from under our house, which we didn't think was normal. It ended up being the main line that comes into the house, which meant that about 15 other houses had to have their water shut off as well. At first the plumbers thought it was a slab leak and would have to drill our cement floors out in our living room. Good thing that didn't have to happen. Now we are just missing a wall and a patio...and have noisy fans. What's the next adventure going to be?
