Dylan's 6th Birthday Super Hero Party

Right after Dylan's game, we had Dylan's party. Here Dylan is with some of the food.

The kids arrived and colored minifigs and then played with blocks.

Then we went outside and did an obstacle course.

It started on the rock wall.

This is Landon. We call him our cousin. He is Aaron's cousin, Amy--her son.

This is Jake--one of Dylan's best buddies at school.

"cousin" Madison

Braydon--from church

We then played pin the emblem on batman.

Then threw bean bags at villains who were on the fence.

Then we did a photo booth.

We played Batman Bingo, then had cupcakes.

Dylan with his best buddy from preschool, Nolan. It was fun because I saw their preschool teacher, Ms. Kim at school when I was teaching and she said, "I heard about Dylan's party." She had run into Nolan's mom at the store. Ms. Kim was so happy to hear  that they were still buddies.

The Neumann's got him this...huge hit. They had plenty of wars with Grandpa.

It was a really fun party. The weather was great...the kids were great....and it is done.

Soccer Games

My parents came for their last visit for a little while. They are serving their 3rd mission starting in January so they wanted to get one more trip  to Texas in before they started.

Saturday morning we got some things ready for the party and then headed  to the soccer games. The boys played at the same time, but it was Blake's last game, so my dad watched some of Dylan's game (saw him score a goal) and then headed to Blake's game where everyone else was. I stayed at Dylan's game. They destroyed this team. Our coach told our team after the 7th goal I think to pass it at least 1 time before scoring....well, that was too easy, so he said they had  to pass it 2 times before they score. It was actually a good game for them to work on their passing and soccer skills.

Dylan and I ran over and saw the last 2 minutes of Blake's game. They lost.

We had signed the boys up for basketball a couple weeks previously and had evaluations and they have been wanting to practice basketball every night...not soccer. They are anxious for basketball....Aaron and I were too.

October 20--We had been booed for Halloween and had been so busy that we hadn't had a chance to drop off our goody bags to some friends, so I did that before I picked up my parents from the airport and I drove by this house. I thought they were pretty creative Halloween decorations. I took the pictures to show the boys and they thought it was awesome.

"Mini" Pizzas

At the birthday party, they sent the kids home with the recipe of the pizza so Dylan really, really wanted to make them. I liked our pizza dough recipe better, but said that we could make our own pizza. They got home from school and we went to work. They both really liked making the pizza and putting their own toppings on! Here are their mini pizzas.

The day before we had dinner with our friend, Nate. We met at BYU and ended up in CA together and both Aaron and Nate work for the same company. Every time he comes to Dallas, we get together. We found out that they adopted a little girl, so they have 3 girls now. They are a great family!

Braydon's Party and Soccer

October 14--I took Dylan to Braydon's birthday party while Aaron took Blake to his soccer game. Braydon is a friend from church, but also goes to the same school as Dylan, but in a different class. He had his party at a chef's place, so they all made pizza.

He was not happy I took his picture..I guess he wanted to pay attention to the instructions.

Dylan was the only kid to eat all of his pizza. He loved it. They also had a cupcake.

We went home, changed clothes and headed to Dylan's soccer game.

That night we had our babysitter come over and we went to dinner and went to a haunted house with a bunch of friends. It was a fun night!
