Dentist

The boys got their teeth cleaned today. At his last cleaning, Blake was super nervous..maybe because it was a new dentist for him? However, this time he did great. He wanted to go first. At the end, the dentist pulled out his new toothbrush and it was blue. Blake whispered to me, "How did he know blue is my favorite color?" Blake was pretty happy after that, and then even happier to get to pick out a toy at the dentist office.  Then it was Dylan's turn...his first time that he was a patient at the dentist. He climbed in the chair and had no problems with the dentist brushing his teeth and checking them out. He was also pretty excited to get a  toy and a new toothbrush.  We got home and they immediately dumped out their goody bag from the dentist. Who knew a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and a toy could be so exciting. I was happy that they both did well and that there were no cavities.

At bedtime I usually ask Blake if he had a good day and what his favorite part was.Tonight I thought it would be the fact that he played with his friends or jumping on the trampoline, but no, he responded, "Getting a blue toothbrush." Note to self...only buy blue toothbrushes for Blake (at least for now).
