Trip to CA Day 7

Tuesday we went to Legoland again with the same folks. We had plans to go to the water park all day, but the lines were super short so we hit up a couple of the rides again.

Here we are in the water park. Didn't get pictures in there, but it was sure fun.

We stopped at In n Out for dinner and  then David set it up so we could stop by his friend's house to see his motorcycle. Dylan really likes bikes and motorcycle. David had gotten him a model of a dirt bike and motorcycle for his birthday and Christmas. Dylan loves them. All his toys are in the playroom, but these 2 things he keeps in his room. Anyway, his buddy has  the same motorcycle that he has model of. We went to go check it out.

We told Dylan to rev the engine, but he didn't want to at first because he thought he would take off so when we explained how it was in neutral, etc then he was all over it.

Uncle David with Blake and Dylan.

Blake had no problem revving that engine.

James and Shannon came over to say good bye since we were leaving the next day. We sure love James and Shannon.

Maybe a bit more appropriate picture of the gang. Silly people!

Trip to CA Day 6

Monday morning we went with Grandma and Grandpa and Seth and Kaleb to Legoland. The cousins had so much fun together.

They took turns riding together on rides.

No one besides Seth and Kaleb wanted to do this ride though.

But all the kids loved driving...they did it a lot.

I wish I had this on video because it was hilarious. I will start this off by saying that these boats are not hard to drive...my boys had no problem. You hop on the boat while it is on a track, then it goes down a tiny bit and then there are these lanes. Before I took the picture, there were 3 boats that were backwards. It was funny to see  that because um, how did you do that? And then the workers came over, put on waders to get in to help them and then they managed to go backwards again. They finally got it....but then we noticed about half way through that one of  them was struggling again. So....maybe not nice of me to think this was hilarious, but I  tell you there was a crowd gathered watching this...it was kind of a spectacle and I didn't do it justice, but trust me...it was amusing and frustrating. I hope they don't have a driver's license.

We stopped at Costco on our way home for dinner. We got home and went to bed....busy day.

Trip to CA Day 6

Sunday morning we ate some yummy breakfast on the ship and then got off the ship and headed back to my parents' house. We relaxed a little, ate lunch and then went to church.

After church, my brother David and his family and my Grandma came over for dinner...along with James and Shannon.

Kaleb loves to ride his skateboard so he tried to teach the boys.

Good thing they had Dylan there to stop traffic.

Trip to CA Day 5

Saturday morning I woke up and ran on the jogging track...10 miles. My options were to wait until 6am until the gym opened to run on a treadmill (yuck!) or run on the upper deck where 11 laps equals 1 mile, but I could run whatever time I want. The track is what I did....and it was super windy.

After my workout, we got ready and then all ate breakfast in the dining room. The food was so tasty. Then we needed to go get some ice cream for a certain kid. This day was our fun day at sea, so we were on the ship the whole time. Around 11am we were feeling it a little so we put on the patches that go behind the ear that I had gotten a prescription for from Dylan's doctor when we got his stitches out. The pharmacists told me that the kids would loss a little energy...they wouldn't be sleepy, but they would for sure not be themselves. False! They were themselves completely.

Anyway....cool towel animals huh? The day was overcast and a little chilly (crazy that in Texas it was in the 90s) so we were glad  that the previous day after being in Mexico we had a chance to ride all the slides and swim.

We played mini golf....several rounds.

This kid got a hole in 1.

We played board games and chatted/hung out.

We saw this ice sculpture, which was an Indian chief.

The boys did a Dr. Seuss parade and then we went to a Harry Potter Trivia game, which we did not do very well on.

Then we had dinner in the dining room. Such good food again. I had some yummy salmon. I tried to each as much seafood as possible since Aaron can't....it's my only chance to eat it. You can get as much food as you want so Robert decided to get escargot. I tried one..my first time. It wasn't as tasty as my pie and ice cream, but it wasn't gross either.

Then we got ice cream and headed to the comedian. This comedian was rated PG so we could take the kids. Then we went to bed.
