Trip to CA Day 2

We woke up and walked over to the park by their house. They had some energy to get out!

We had lunch, then headed over to Circus Trix. It was a pretty cool place. The staff wasn't super friendly, but the boys still loved it.

Then we went over to DQ and got a blizzard. We went back to the house and swam, then we went to dinner at a pizza place. It was really yummy!

Then Seth and Kaleb came over and all the boys went camping. Grandpa is the best for camping with them. Blake and Dylan love to camp with Grandpa!

Trip to CA Day 1

The boys and I flew out to CA for a couple of days while Aaron stayed back to work.

Our flight was delayed a little bit, but we made it. My parents picked us up from the airport and we headed over to Cafe Rio for lunch.

Then we went over to my Grandma's new place. She moved into an independent living place a couple months ago. We walked around the facility. It is really pretty.

Here are the boys with their great-Grandma. She gave them little model airplanes from her late husband. She had to clean things up and declutter when she moved and wanted to give the boys something special.

My Grandma is having the best time. She is so busy with all her classes, but it seems like she enjoys her art class the most. They have a picture of hers on display.

We went by her old house. My parents are friends with the people who bought the house and they just finished remodeling it so no one lives in it yet.

Then we went to my parents house and swam--Seth and Kaleb (the boys' cousins) came over too! Later on that night David came over to pick up his kids and  then my other brother, James came over to hang out,

Playing with the Neumann's

August 2--We had our friends,  the Schwarz, over for dinner. They are currently living in a hotel because their lease was up before their house was finished being built. It is always fun having them over!

August 3--Saturday morning it rained...a lot! I didn't even know it was supposed to rain and it started to rain on me during my long run. Then I got back and Blake was still up for running even though it was still raining. Then we went to church to clean. We switched weeks with our friends who were still out of town. The rain did stop and that afternoon we had Tyson and his family over for dinner and swimming. Tyson and Aaron worked together in CA and Tyson moved out here 2 years ago.

August 5--We had the Neumann boys over while Cambria had a long, 3 hour doctor appointment. We had way more fun then she did, but the good news is that Cambria and her baby are doing fine so she doesn't have to be on modified bedrest anymore.

August 6--my boys went over to the Neumann's house while I went to work for a couple of hours to get the classroom and little in order and  then to send out the postcards to my new class. I was sad because I didn't get Ledger in my class, but I have a couple kids from my 2 year old class a couple years ago and then I have a friend's kid in my class. It should be a fun year.

Beach Club

August 2--our last Friday in Texas before school started, the boys wanted to go to the Beach Club one last time. We ran into our neighbors there. We heard all about their month long trip to Hawaii.

Silly kids!

Ninja Nation Class

August 1--We got free tickets for a class, which would normally cost $30. We got there a little early so they let the boys go play around until the class started.

The class lasted an hour. They love this place!!

Swimming with Friends

July 30--we had the Ross family over to swim. They are new on our ward and we just love them. The next day, we watched the de la Houssaye's all day. Their mom just had a baby and the kids were going a little stir crazy, so we had them over to swim and play and eat. Their new little sister is so cute.

Art Camp

The boys took an art camp that lasted 4 days....here are some of Blake's creations.

More of Blake's.

These are Dylan's

And more of Dylan's.

We needed to put some water in our pool....this way was way more fun then just letting the hose sit on the side of the pool.

Cooking Class

July 27--The boys took at cooking class together. They made steak (which was yummy, but they put a spicy sauce on it which ruined it for Dylan), they also made peach cobbler and some whipped cream to go on the cobbler.

While the kids were at their class, Aaron and I went out to lunch and then did a little shopping.

Later that afternoon, we went on dates with the boys. Dylan and I went to Italian Garden--he loves their pizza and then we watched Lego Movie 2 at our house. Aaron took Blake to see "Lion King" and then they went to Braum's.
