Aaron took the day off work before busy season starts and before seminary starts so that we could go to Disneyland and other Disneyland, as Blake calls California Adventure.
He loved Autotopia because he could drive. It is pretty awesome because he is taller then the 40 inches minimum for a lot of the fun rides, but that meant Dylan can't go on them.
While we were there, an earthquake hit. Protocol is that they close all the real rides for a safety check, so off to the river boat we went. Dylan kind of loved it because he could crawl around.
It was in the low 90s, which is hot for us...really hot.
To make a long story short, after multiple attempts, Blake and Aaron got to ride the new Cars ride and then Blake and I went on it. Our review...it is fun, but not at all worth the wait.
It is pretty fun to see the kids' reaction to everything going on. Dylan just took everything in and loved looking at everything. Blake was willing to try a lot of those fun rides. He loves trains, so I took him on a fast train, Thunder Mountain. We went to Disneyland last week with some friends and I took Blake and his friend on Pirates, which was Blake's favorite rides that day because of the bumps (drops).
How do you catch a picture of someone dancing? Well, Blake was super excited because we stayed late enough to play basketball at an arcade. When asked what Blake wants to do when we go to Disneyland, he always responds with "play basketball"...of all the things huh? When we went in June with Aaron's work, we got a free token so he wanted to play basketball...that was all he talked about after our trip. That silly "free" token.
Dylan was pretty excited to find a place where he could roam freely.
Go time...
He played a couple games and even made a couple baskets.
Fun trip! On the way home (at 10pm) Dylan fell asleep immediately. Blake told Dylan, "Don't fall asleep, wait until we get home" (because that is what I say)...and then Blake immediately fell asleep.
