He's Growing

Dylan had his surgery 2 weeks ago and sure enough, he did have 2 hernias and they were worse then originally thought.  The 45 minute surgery turned into a 2 hour surgery.  He was pretty miserable until later that night.  He was wanting to crawl, but it hurt him, so he just sat right back.  He did that the following day as well. Then the next day, he changed his crawl so that his crawl didn't hurt him.  Today we went to the surgeon for the follow up and he is all healed.  The night before the surgery, we were up all night with Dylan because he was throwing up and in terrible pain.  Glad we did the surgery because he now doesn't throw up and sleeps at night...it is kind of great.  We have become regulars at the hospital because we had the same Pre-op nurse and post-op nurse.

In addition to going to the surgeon, we also saw the pediatrician for his 9 month check up.  He is 31 inches tall, which is 99 percentile. (One more inch and he can go on more rides at Disneyland). 21 pounds 13 ounces which is 75 percentile. He is meeting his milestones and the doctor confirmed my suspicions...he has some teeth coming in.  We will just see how long it takes for them to come through.

His teething could explain why he found Blake's rocket ship to be his favorite chew toy.

There is no need to take the chew toy out when you are in the middle of a crawling race with big brother.

Dylan is at the stage of being frustrated because he wants to walk but can't do it.

He is very curious.  Baby proofing is going to be fun.
