April 14: Blake turned 8! It was a bad weather make up day and since we didn't have any bad weather days, we got the day off of school. He opened his presents after breakfast. He got a new bike from Aaron and me.
Great Grandma Holm sent him some birthday money.
We also got him a bike lock.
My parents got him a lego set from the Lego Batman movie. It was a huge hit.
Aaron's folks got him his own set of scriptures. He felt important getting those.
We then rode bikes to the park.
Then came home and put the lego set together.
Dylan got Blake's old bike. He wanted to keep riding his old bike. Aaron said it would be 2 weeks for him to get it...meaning learn to ride the bigger bike. And that's exactly what happened. He didn't even try for 2 more weeks and once he got on, he was gone. We went on a family bike ride. It was great.
Blake picked roller skating for his birthday. The boys had never been so there was a learning curve, but I'm proud of them for trying something new.
We then went over to the Cowboy Park until Hutchins opened for dinner.
He had a great birthday. We love you bud!
