Spring Break - Wednesday

Wednesday morning we went to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was going to be a really nice day and it was half price day, so we knew it would be crowded, so we bought tickets online and got there about 20 minutes before it opened and google maps took us the back way so we didn't get any of  the traffic. We parked right next to the zoo entrance. This was our first time at this zoo and we loved it. We saw everything including the shows, we ate lunch under some trees for some shade and when we finished, it started to get pretty busy. Perfect timing..so we left and as we were driving to the freeway we saw people walking to the zoo--they parked 1/2 mile from the entrance....and it kept going...they were parked on the grass, etc. Police were everywhere directing them. Boy we were so glad we went in the morning. We had no trouble.

We got to touch a ratsnake.

Dylan was excited to see penguins and giraffes.

They had a Texas Ranch show, but this porcupine was not native to Texas, but still cool to learn about.

We got to touch some starfish too.

A pretty cool enclosure for the tiger.

Yep, turned out to be a warm day.

We went home, then stopped at Costco where we got a new rug for dining room and then went to Primary Activity Day. What a fun, busy day.
