Our 4th of July was really laid back. The kids were tired from the week, so we just hung around the house and went swimming and watched a movie. We cooked some hot dogs in our fire pit and then we got out the poppers.
The weather was actually great on Friday. It was not cold, but Dylan wanted to wear his blue zebra pants (as he calls them) and his long sleeved buzz shirt. Good thing it was a nice day and not 100 degrees.
Last year Blake wondered what the holiday meant so we told him that we were celebrating our country's birthday. This year he insisted that we put up our happy birthday sign since we were celebrating a birthday. They needed to be ninjas for the picture.
Saturday we went to Home Depot and did a project. Guess what the project was? A bug house. How appropriate. We came home and fogged our house while we hung outside and went swimming. We then deep cleaned to get all the bugs. So, we learned from talking to someone that pest control companies can't do anything about chiggers. They had tried 2 different companies. Do you get how annoying these little bugs are?
