Blake's Kindergarten Graduation

While the last day of school is actually today, Blake's graduation from Kindergarten took place yesterday. It worked out well because Aaron was able to attend and he wouldn't have been able to attend today.

The kids all marched in by class and then they sang 3 songs. All 3 of these songs were Texas related of course. Blake was awesome. I filmed it which is why there aren't too many pictures. It was surprising because he isn't so awesome singing for Primary programs.

Blake was in the back row because he is one of the tallest kids. This is crazy to me, some of the kids are already 7 years old. Blake just turned 6.

Each teacher got to call each student, give them a hug and then the principal and vice principal gave them a hug. It isn't too often that adults are allowed to give hugs to kids who aren't their children so it was kind of nice that he was able to give his teacher a hug.

At the end the audience applauded all the gads and then the principal had the grads all applaud their parents for helping them.

The program lasted about 45 minutes and this is the kids at the end...pretty done with it all.

Then we went to their classrooms and watched a DVD that the room moms put together. It was super long...15 minutes, but the kids loved it. It was hilarious because this DVD was pictures of the kids put to music. One of the songs was "Roar" by Katy Perry. All the kids were singing, no belting out the song.

Mrs. Robinson said that she has been teaching for 11 years and this has been her favorite class. I'm sure she says this every year. We love Mrs. Robinson and hope Dylan will get her when he is in kindergarten and if not her, then someone equally as awesome for him.
