Easter 2016

Luckily our Bishop cancelled ward council so the Easter bunny was able to come before church. The Easter bunny took the boys on a scavenger hunt.

Apparently in my attempt to keep up with the kids, I didn't focus the camera. The Easter bunny left a treat by the statue of Jesus....the reason for Easter.

We did eat breakfast before our hunt because my kids are always starving once they wake up and must eat quickly before super grouchiness happens.

After the hunt we got ready for church and then went to church. The primary sang, "Gethsemane". If you haven't heard that song before, look it up on YouTube. It is a beautiful song and the kids did such a great job.

We came home and ate lunch, started our dinner, and then made resurrection rolls. The kids love to make them and to eat them. Good object lesson for the kids.

Later our friends,  the Neumanns, came over. We first had an Easter egg hunt. (This is what our grass looks like trying to come out of its dormant stage during winter).

Cambria hid the eggs.

These kids have so much fun together and the adults have fun together. We ate dinner and dessert, then thought about going to the stake meeting where they would announce all the changes in the ward boundaries, but decided we would just get updates from the 5 people who actually went to the meeting that was during Easter dinner time.  Bishop emailed a new map, list of people we were getting and losing within a couple of hours. I lost 1 primary teacher, 2 activity day leaders, my 11 year old scout leader and some primary kids. :( But we gained some new great families. This past week I was able to meet with all the families with primary kids. It was so weird how they realigned the wards. We took one little neighborhood of the neighboring ward. The poor kids are so sad to not be with their friends anymore. Of course I wanted to meet the kids, but I was also scoping out the parents and potential callings. I have submitted names for callings.
