Perot Museum

The boys had Good Friday off, not because it was Good Friday, but because it was a bad weather make-up day and since school hadn't been cancelled this year for bad weather, they got the day off. So, we went to the Perot museum and so did a ton of other people. We first raced several animals and people before it got too busy.

Blake never wants to do this, but he did and he loved it. It captures your motion in slow motion then you can look at the video and compare it to the pros.

We did the art lab...Blake was thinking about what we wanted to do.

This area that we are in is a children's section and you must have someone in the family who is 5 or under. This was the first time, but we were asked if Dylan was  5 or younger. Man, he doesn't look like a 5 year old even? Crazy.

The museum also has movies, which we had free passes that we going to expire, so we saw a 3D movie about space. Blake loved it.

Dylan liked it for about 5 minutes and then was hungry...again. This kid was going through a growth spurt. Both my kids eat a lot for their ages..I've seen how much their friends eat, but when they go through growth spurts it is insane. I am not looking forward to my grocery bill when they are teenagers. Also my kids can't function when they are hungry. They have always been like this. What is the deal?

They dug for fossils and spent about 30 minutes playing in the sand.

Then played at the grocery store.

We went on the "ride" about the shale.

That night we went to a free soccer skills clinic that is done with some group of British people who are teamed up with our local soccer association. It is for ages 5-9, but I asked them if Dylan could do it and they said yes. Blake thought his coach talked funny. What always gets me is the different phrases or terms they use. The coach said he needed to grab something out of his car box. What? Oh, his trunk. The other funny thing that I can remember is when they miss a goal they say, "Unlucky"..we would say nice try.
