Finished Roller Coaster

Yesterday we finished the roller coaster. Look at how tall it is! Crazy right?!

Urban Air

June 25--I took the boys to Urban Air. They were just opening up and trying to get people to come in so they had some great deals. It is super clean there and we had the best time. We stayed for 3 1/2 hours.

That night we worked on the roller coaster that Grandma and Grandpa sent.

Splash Pad

June 24--We went to the splash pad and park with the Neumann's. Ledger had his birthday the day before so we had a cookie cake and played.

My parents sent them a package with some fun things and these awesome rain jackets. Thanks!

Happy Father's Day

Aaron got some fun things....he got this tool that has 39 different functions.

And a razor, and a BYU grilling mat that didn't arrive on time. It is for the smoker.

Aaron made some tri tip and it was yummy. Hope all the dads had a Happy Father's Day!

Friday night we had our friend Adam over.  He got a Tesla so he came over for dinner and then we went for a drive. Aaron had fun driving that car.

Saturday night we had our friends the Ririe's over for dinner. Their teenage kids were in CA for a little bit before the parents were out there. It was fun having them over.

Little Elm Beach

June 18--We went to Little Elm Beach for the first time. They have a fun park too.

We stayed for about 5 hours. It was a lot of fun. They would play in the sand and then go in the water and repeat.

Then on our way home, we stopped at the running store to pick up our packet for our virtual race. Unfortunately we weren't able to do the real race. Virtual races just aren't the same, but we both did our races and did pretty good.

That Sunday we went to church. We are able to have 50 people attend a 45 minute Sacrament meeting. It was great to be back at church. We are all taking turns so we go once a month. We are hoping to be back to normal soon.

Swimming

June 16--We had Beckett over to swim and play.

Virtual Camp

The boys did a virtual camp. It was kind of like the classes I teach, but the boys still had fun and it was free through our city.

Play Date with Caleb

June 12--Earlier in the week I got a text from Caleb's mom saying that they were moving. They are moving only about 5 minutes away, but that means a new school. Dylan was sad, so we arranged a playdate.

They had the best time together. They are moving while we are in Arkansas, but we will play when we get back. The story of their moving process is pretty great--they really are meant to be in this new house, but I'm sad for these 2 buddies.

Park with Friends

June 11--We met Blake's friend Avir at the park. His friend Kenny still not going out.

We picked up Beckett on our way to the park.

Avir only lasted an our, but we stayed at the park with Beckett for about 3 hours.

And then some people from church showed up, so the boys were so sweet and pushed the young kids from church and  they all loved it.

Then Beckett came over and my fabric protector spray finally came so I put that on while they played. Then I took the boys over to Beckett's to play. I saw the Neumann's new out door kitchen and then I took a trip to the store while they played and then I came back and picked up my kids.

When we got home, we were getting the mail and we heard someone say "Dylan". It was his teacher, Ms. Reasoner. They were parked in front of our neighbor's house. They were the ones that had told us what happeneds. Ms. Reasoner's sister goes to the same church as our neighbor so was bringing  them dinner and Ms. Reasoner came because one of the boys was in her class last year. We talked about other things too. It was fun to see her, although I wish it wasn't because of our poor neighbor.

Dylan's Lab Work

June 10--the next morning, Dylan went in for his blood work. We went and got donuts before. He ate his right after his appointment was done. He did great and about a week later his doctor called to say everything looked fine. He won't have to do his ultrasound next year. We will probably only do scans every other year, but blood work every year.

The boys came with me grocery shopping after, which they enjoyed because they haven't been to the store much.

Dylan's Ultrasound

June 9--Dylan had to fast, but he did a great job for his ultrasound. He had some donuts on our way home. The procedure is all different now at doctor's offices. The good news is that he looked great. They didn't find anything bad.

About 10 minutes before we needed to leave about 5 firetrucks and ambulances were in front of our house, but we couldn't tell what was going on. I found out later that our next door neighbor, Josh (the neighbor whose wife is a nurse) collapsed that morning--he had a stroke and a heart attack. They don't know why, but they also found a blood clot in his neck so they put a stint in. He has been to 3 hospitals because he was getting worse and worse and because of covid, his wife hasn't seen him in awhile. They had some family come in town to help because they have 4 young boys. He might need a heart transplant. It is super sad. They are a nice family. We are praying for him still.
