Lovin our 5th Graders

May 14--On my run with Blake, we saw this. The school was honoring the 5th graders by having all their names on the marquee. Blake thought it was fun, so we got a pick on our walk.

This day was also the last day of preschool. We did a "Drive by, good-bye". Each class got a 30 minute window, we decorated our cars and the kids' parents drove their cars next to ours. We were outside of our cars, but the kids had to stay in their cars. We handed them all their stuff--including those fabulous scrapbooks, their journals, work, gifts, pictures, evaluations, etc. The last time we saw the kids in person was the last day before Spring Break. We all thought we were coming back...we had no idea. This is why Dylan calls this time CoronaVirus Spring Break. This is the longest Spring Break ever!
We had every one of our kids come and it was awesome. I loved seeing those kids one last time in person. We had to wear a mask so the kids were a little confused. We put together a virtual graduation, which turned out really cute. All the teachers recorded a message to the kids and all the kids said what they want to be when they get older (this is our tradition). My favorite future career--a YouTube influencer. Oh my! The kids all gave us our end of the year gifts and they were just so sweet.
