Saturday morning the kids woke up local time 3:50. That 2 hour time difference was a killer. We had plenty of time to take the bus to the pier to catch our boat for a tour. About 3 weeks before our trip I went to buy tickets to go to Alcatraz and they were sold out. apparently you need to buy these tickets months in advance. Plan B was to take a tour of the bay that went under the Golden Gate, around Alcatraz and Angel Island. It was 60 minutes, which was 60 minutes too long for Dylan and 45 minutes too long for Blake, but Aaron and I enjoyed it all .

After the tour, we walked around the pier. The Golden Gate Bridge is to the left and Alcatraz is to the right.
Apparently there are 7 hearts like the one above throughout San Francisco...we found one, but we weren't looking for others.
