Our hotel was about 1/4 mile from the old mint in SF, so we went by it to check it out. The homeless have taken over and it looks pretty sad....but we went to it.
After that, we walked to the library for their story time. It was in Spanish and English, which the boys actually enjoyed. After story time, we read books...that library is huge, then they had a free lunch for all the kids. The boys devoured their food. We then walked back to the hotel and the boys really wanted to go to back to the museum.
Since it was free for us and a free short walk and a lot of fun, we all went. They spent 1 1/2 hours building stuff. This other kid came along and played with them.
He made Dylan the boss. At one point this kid came up to the boss and asked him if he could take a break, Dylan said, "No, get back to work." He was a tough boss, but they finished their project, just in time for a little kid to come along and destroy it.
We learned the previous day that this museum is a favorite spot for the nannies to bring the kids. I was asked if Blake and Dylan were my kids. This day we saw a family from story time at the library...apparently we do what the locals do too. The museum closed at 4, so we went to the park to play and then we went to the hotel to eat dinner since Aaron was eating dinner with his co-workers and I know the kids wouldn't last through that.
