Thursday morning we headed down to the Perot. Since Aaron had a hotel, we decided to go down for a night. We started at the Perot and had lots of fun.
This was new and super fun.
Blake worked on his Nova award for cub scouts. He had to ask some of the workers some questions.
When we were done at the Perot we walked over to the Klyde Warren park. I have always wanted to go, but never had the time. Since we didn't need to beat the traffic since we weren't going home, we had a chance. They changed into their swimsuits. They built a park on top of the freeway...it is totally surrounded by office buildings right in the middle of downtown. It is a fun park and we are glad we went. I hung out in the shade the whole time because it was hot.
They found some friends to play with, but we had to leave to go to the hotel and drop off our stuff...it was about 1/2 mile from the park.
We went to the hotel run to drop off our bag, then walked over to Aaron's office. They were done for the day, but Blake wanted to see the office and ask Aaron some questions for his Nova award. We then went to dinner at a taco place. It was not your normal tacos. I love normal tacos, but these were very good too.
